we know you like darwin...lol i hope he does not go away. the laughs i get out of the end pictures are great. did line work on the Shocker figure in a brown gundam pen..it looks great.
Retro Lizard is probably my #1. New sculpt that perfectly captures the Steve Ditko design from the 60's. Accessories are decent, and the bendy wire tail is way better than the ugly BAF one. Too bad he's so hard to get, should've been a standard release.

I bought 18 Ultrons and made a fight scene with all my SH Figuarts Avengers...that is a lot of silver on the shelf haha! I really dig that Ultron, very basic and I love that about him
I'm not big on MCU figures, but I actually liked the MCU Moon Knight quite a bit and I think the 3-pack Venom would probably be on my top 10.

Glad to see Maggot getting some well-deserved recognition. Hasbro surprisingly really made the effort for a character that I do remember from my comic-reading days, but is probably not that well known or popular. As for Shocker, he was the shocker of the list for me 😉 But if I had to make any changes, it would be to replace that red herald and the Hand ninja for 20th anniversary Captain America and Spiral. Thanks for the wonderful reviews, you're my go-to guy.

I agree with your #1, but, Hasbro HAS GOT TO start giving Legends soft goods capes. These big heavy plastic capes has to stop .
Dr Strange is definitely my favorite legend this year. Hard to find in store that's for sure (Walmart exclusives are the worst).
Can we expect a pack of Darwin accessories when you're done with venom feet? It'll give you something to sell as well as more opportunities for poses.

I can’t believe we went a whole year without a new a Deadpool ML. I’ll just have to put the movie one from last year on the top of my list again.
Hopefully we get an updated Marvel Legends classic 90’s Deadpool on the Vulcan body mold.

Crazy enough I only bought two Marvel Legends all year, Hulk and the Toei Spider-Man. I like them both, especially Hulk, but I wasn't motivated to get any others. I had Ultron from your list, too, but I believe that was a '21 release.
Some great picks Anthony. I'm not keen on the look of the Hand Ninja with his clompy feet, but value wise he's great. Figures using older basic moulds should be this price.
Spyral from the X-Men Retro wave would be on my top ten, and maybe Longshot and Wolvie.
Ultron is one of my favourites. I love that design but the legs don't kick up as much as I'd like. Paint rub is an issue.
Darwin is a crappy figure but the comedy you milk from his creepyness is fun.😁
Spiral hasn't been shipped yet from a lot of US sellers. From everything I've seen in other reviews though, she definitely looks like she'll be a top 10 for 2023 (unless Hasbro does a 180 in how they're dealing with this line).
Glad to see Zemo made it so high, he'd probably be my number 3 as well. The 2-pack Venom is my second favorite of the year, and the Lizard would be my top pick.
I've always been picky with Marvel Legends, I barely got ten last year, but this year they made a lot more that appealed to me as being pretty classic characters in my book, like Doctor Strange, the 20 years Cap and Toad, all the Spider-Man villains and the new Spider-Man releases in general, and also the Skrull army builders I really liked.

Me too. The hair though, could be better.
Not too mention it does feel like old Toy Biz legend the most from that wave, with extra paint, base and all.

I didn't buy a single ML figure this year. I was gonna buy the NWH Spidey three-pack, no matter the cost if it came with unmasked heads, but nothing.
I would have switched out Cyclops with one of the honorable mentions due to the price. For the MSRP, not worth it. But for $22.99 I would say worth it. I might even overlook the price at even at $24.99.
I had no idea who Maggot was, but I still got him for the character design and because it was on sale.😆
You basically have to pay shipping on Cyclops, too. No free shipping at certain $ amount/pile of loot, anything like that. I'd almost be tempted to just spend the extra on him since I don't have any of the 90's cyclopses, but after shipping and tax, you're looking at ~$37.

Pretty solid list and I would out some of your picks on my list such as Herald Thor and Shocker, and Dr. Strange is also probably my favorite for the year.
My list would also include retro Lizard, Armored Spidey, 2 pack Venom (with your feet), and Zemo. So I'd swap those out with some of your picks that didn't make my list
I heard some reviews saying the retro carded Lizard is really good but I don't know if its a 2022 release. I'm just happy that the only figure I have from this list was Ultron, despite em' being an honorable mention. Since Christmas is coming up in a little bit I hope I can get that shocker figure and first appearance spidey! Thanks for making this list 👌
I’ve scaled down my collecting significantly, but the Lizard is the best ML I’ve gotten in a while. It’s just impossible to find at retail.

Love the Dr. Strange pick at 1, but if you are including BAFs and Deluxe, then I would put Khonshu at 1 and Mojo around 8. I am a huge Daredevil guy, so he would be up there as well.

A lot of great choices. Would have picked Ultron over the ninja but that's nostalgia talking. The Walmart exclusive Doctor Strange is very much the definitive comic version. Great design and good accessories. Kinda surprised the Lizard didn't make the list. Did it come close?

@@FREKKI I would expect the largest toy company in the world would be capable of complex logistics, and be able to match companies such as Mattel.
Hasbro, have almost killed all good will in Canada with the G.I.Joe classified, from what the community are saying. As for there being months between deliveries from one country to another, you cant keep relying on excuses that have been used for the last 3 years

Anyway I won't post my list cause I'm not sure from what I bought what is from 2022 or 2021 so I will only comment on the video.
I suppose I understand the objectivity but I am so unaware of what that character is that I think #2 shouldn't be that high specially for how much it actually costs to have it.
On the other hand I loved that Ultron figure and can't see why is it only a honorable mention. Sure it is just a silver figure but nicely painted and as far as I know brand new sculpt and very well done overall - comics character ain't more than that.
I think I would have to include Silk and Spiral in there somewhere but I'm not entirely sure who I would take off the list to replace them. Possibly Cyclops just because so many people got a really awful looking visor on theirs. I'm also really impressed with the MCU Moon Knight figure and the detail that went into the sculpt.

The only Marvel Legend I got this year was Japanese Spider-Man. Which admittedly is a poor figure executed poorly. However it's a close enough representation of the character to look cool in my little figure display.

I stopped collecting ML and only get maybe 2-4 , 🤷🏽♂️ prefer Mafex . Bad QC …. Anyways , if you remove the hood and cut trim under, reglue . The hood will sit lower and cover the forehead more , black/red Ninja . Good list , still need to get URSA Major BAF case for the Ultron !! VHS Wolverine is cool too , great headsculpts but the “sad Logan head” had bad paint apps , my copy 😞. Merry Xmas !!

All around great list and all the figures deserve a spot on it. Probably just missing Lizard, but it seems you couldn't get ahold of it. Spiral would probably be on the list too, if she had shipped for US already. Not sure why so many people already has her; probably buying from overseas at inflated prices.

I salute you for actually coming up with ten. It seemed like the figures that were well made were characters I wasn’t interested in, and the characters I was interested in were not well made, and “not well made” is being VERY kind in most cases.
Even your top choice, Dr. Strange, has the wrong colored gloves and sash. Look up a hundred reference pics of classic Dr. Strange and tell me how many of those reference pics have yellow gloves and sashes and how many have light orange. I’m not faulting you for being willing to overlook that. I’m just saying that Hasbro couldn’t even get their best release of the year completely right. That’s okay, though. I’m sure a retro carded version with the correct colored gloves and sash is on it’s way in 2023.

I cant decide if Morg should be an honorable mention or disqualified because of the release. On eBay average is around 50. At a theoretical 32 "Deluxe" I could see the argument but at 50 I'm not sure.

Dam I need to get the Spider-Man
My problems with the Doc strange:
-He costs more than regular figs
-Cape isn't removable
-No "modern" headsculpt. (I'm not into puffy hair strange)
-I would rather have gold than yellow
