    I'm SO EXCITED for this series. Thanks for researching and sharing your experience! Ever since you mentioned cycle syncing in a past video I've been curious about integrating it into my slow-living journey. Love what you said at the end about embracing that life is ever-changing. Saying a prayer for your process of identifying if you have endometriose - super brave of you to share

    I'm so grateful to be led by the Lord Jesus to find your channel and I love that you have the scripture in your biography, that has been my focus this week in a time of distress! I am in the process of preparing my mind and heart to let go of manyyyyy things for the peace of my husband and I's home. Both physical and bad habits. God is my strength.
    "This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul, 'therefore I will hope in him.'" Lamentations 3:21-24
    God bless you, your husband and your family Anika!

    For me and my cycle, I'm now in my late thirties so PMS has gotten worse.( with age as expected). I do not have endometriosis however I do suffer with bad periods that can make me vomit due to the pain. Things that have really helped me even more so as I get older are magnesium, one of its functions is hormonal balance along with energy production and calming the central nervous system(this is why its touted as the anti stress mineral) has been a real game changer. There have been days where iv felt mentally awful and physically sluggish and then I take my magnesium and suddenly remember why it's so important. I take it everyday when I remember as its a macro mineral so its required in large amounts that I just can't get enough through diet alone. I even take extra in the days leading up to my period for extra support as the body will need even more magnesium during this time. Couple of other things that help me are raspberry leaf tea, I take this in the week leading upto my cycle and on my first day of cycle. I do not do this every month as I have a habit of forgetting. And lastly the other thing I do is take apple cidre vinegar in the 1-2weeks leading upto my cycle and this really helps with all my pms symptoms including bloating and fluid retention. If your not already taking magnesium its something that has to be researched as it can and does interfere with certain medications and there is an upper safe limit. As wonderful as it is its not something to just take without pre-thought or consoderarions. However cocoa is full of magnesium so if supplements are not an option I recommend making cakes and chocolate drinks, these have also been life savers to me. I get my chocolate fix without all the added sugar, the sugar will just feed more cravings and tank your bodies own magnesium. If I'm desperate for a fix I make my own hot cocoa and if one cup doesn't work two will. For context chocolate specific cravings are a lack of magnesium in the body. I wish i had known this years ago to save me eating mountains of over loaded sugar chocolate. One last thing I also add cacao nibs to bakes for extra magnesium boost.
    Edited to say, caffiene makes my periods worse. Can't believe I got to my age before I made the connection. In my defense I was drinking it to help with energy and quicken the effects of the pain medication.

    Wish I’d known about cycle synching when I was younger. But I can still practice listening to my body… Thanks for this.

    I had to get on a birth control that stopped my cycle altogether because I was in extreme emotional distress during my luteal phase for many years. Did cycle syncing have any impact on your mood during the luteal phase?

    This is really interesting! I'll be 50 this year and I'm in perimenopause so things are getting pretty crazy. I think my body is making a last-ditch effort to become pregnant because I'm getting my period twice a month sometimes and I even got it 3 times in March! When I became more mindful about my level of activity during my cycle, what I found surprising was that I become super productive during menstruation, even though it's a super uncomfortable time and I get terrible back cramps. I wonder if it's because I'm unproductive during that luteal phase and starting my cycle is like a breaking point where I can't put off doing laundry anymore and that sort of thing. Who knows... maybe I'm just rage cleaning!

      @@itsdaksha You're welcome. Some may view it as oversharing but I wish I had known what to expect going into this stage of life. Nobody seems to talk about it. I just assumed that my periods would just get less and less heavy and fewer and farther in between until it eventually stopped but it is the exact opposite... for me, at least.

    I unsubscribed to your channel because you're commercial. It shouldn't matter if they're female owner or not. Are you gonna go on a commercial and say oh, this is man owned, it's just sexist.

    • @jennyjenkins877
      @jennyjenkins877 3 місяці тому +7

      I see your point but it's a product for people who ovulate so it's appropriate, just like a dreamcatcher is best purchased from an Indigenous person. The business world is still male-dominated so that's why man owned isn't really a thing, just like Caucasian owned isn't.

      She mentioned “female owned” because she’s talking about products created for the female reproductive system…who would understand that topic better…a man or a woman? It’s comforting to know a woman (who shares our reproductive system’s experiences) is the one who designed these products built for other women. she shared it with us because it’s about $2 for some of these individual tests, and she’s doing a whole 5-video education series to help other women take control of their reproductive health. Your point was invalid.

    So glad you had a great experience (less pain) with your month cycle syncing. I found a similar experience when I first started practicing it - my pms symptoms basically halted. I don’t practice it near as much as I used to, but I do pay attention to which phase I’m in and try and plan my days accordingly.
