I loved them, I would absolutely buy a poetry collection of yours!
Only just seen this, thank you SO much 🥰😭
I really wish poetry would become popular on tiktok. Wouldn't it be amazing if everyone started started painting pictures with words that touch hearts?
I'm tempted to start sharing my poetry on Tik Tok actually! Great idea :)
Finally poetry that doesn’t make me cringe 🤦🏽♂️
Ahhh, that's the biggest compliment, I completely get that feeling! THANK YOU! :)
Lucy the Mermaid I also write poetry! We should exchange some :).
Here is one I wrote quickly today:
Have you once ever came to the door
of a person and knocked, then banged,
wept at the doormat, searched around
back for the windows with the screens,
cried out their name without
shame--have you once ever
found the house still dark, silent,
save the sudden pausing and going
of feet through the kitchen--have you
once ever loved someone.
Dave Guerrero I love this poem sm
Very good! You're right about the publishing process being stressful. I can tell you some horror stories about the fiasco that I went through with self publishing firms, but let me assure you, MARKETING is where the real tribulation awaits. My wife and I are both authors. She writes romance with paranormal elements, and I write sci-fi, though I did write a book of dark poems too.
My words would make me noticed...I loved that line! We need more of these!
theK48 Thank you so much!
@@LucywithinCapture absolutely!
This touched me thank you there wonderful
Thank you so so much
Reflection reminded me of that C. S. Lewis quote, "She wasted all her school time wanting to be the age she is now, and she'll waste all the rest of her life trying to stay that age."
I wanted some good poetry to fall asleep too this is great. It does everything poetry should it's melodic, a little melancholy, and so ethereal.
Wow, I love that comparison, thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed :) Thank you
Your poetry is plainly beautiful and so descriptive. I hope that you still write and have been published! It is most definitely fit for publishing. The way you read it is also so lovely and there is a natural rhythm that adds to its overall effect. I would suggest that you read it a little slower to be even more effective.
I am obsessed with the Sonnet. I hope you like this one I wrote today about something superfluous.
Lines On a Strand of Silk
Small strand of silk, the many lives thoust weaved
From my pocket to the pillow thoust been
Started in a worm, never holding form
As I watched you creep, quiet ‘cross the floor
Small strand of silk, the many lives thoust lived
When I discarded - thy danced in the wind
Such a saddened string, picked up from the street
By the sparrows beak, for a nest to wreath
Small string you found, a home within a tree
To watch eggs turn, into a clutch of chicks
And when their pinions sprout, sent into the sky
You circled back home, to where you first had lied
Small strand of silk, I see you ‘pon the floor
And think on all the things that you’ve been before
the first poem really inspired me for my current (dystopian) writing project! thank you so much for sharing your work, it's lovely!
Awh, I'm so glad! My university dissertation was a dystopian novel opening! I hope it goes well :) x

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your works. You can't believe how much you've inspired me just with this video. I, too, write poetry but I haven't found the motivation or energy to go back to my poems and polish them. But you've definitely given me that now. Your poems are beautiful and I aspire to have mine to be just as beautiful. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day! I really enjoyed listening to your poems!
I am so happy this inspired you to write! I hope you enjoy writing them, you can do this!!
@@LucywithinCapture Your video has been a great help! Thank you so much. ❤️
Okay. Your poetry is amazing. 😍 It needs published!
Oh wow, thank you SO much
Here’s one I wrote out of no where, Any advice?
Soaring hills
Take me to the soaring hills
Show me the worth thats lays between my voice
that’s I am worth the seen
Take me to the soaring hills
I’ll scream every word that’s trapped between my soul
the anger, oh to be heard by all
“look at me, please look at me”
as the wind blows by
desiring a you are seen in reply
Take me to the soaring hills
I’ll wait until every echo is heard as it slowly leaves
me
I like it a lot! There are a couple of words that are off but they seem just like errors while typing it but other than that it’s amazing!!

Photographs last a lifetime - put me in her place.
I insert myself like you insert yourself inside me/at least what I had imagined would happen.
All that was before, the monochrome photographs - stoic hands rested beneath your chin like an Adonis.
Japan became your safe haven - your retreat.
We could have gone there together - the maraschino cherries abreast in our hotel room/the jazz piano playing on the record you brought in your case.
The black void of sky - echoing icy breaths/the energy of coitus and tangible lust metastasising. I am the feeder of your dreams, rebirthing nostalgia with its vanilla pod perfume.
I would dance with you to ラビリンス by Mondo Grosso ft Hikari Mitsushima - my hair pasted with starry glitter, my red nails tracing your back.
Our song, electric with the soft baby blue it now exudes - a palette cleanser for being too happy, too content. Before, she reduced you - under the thumb of hinged fragility.
Grief is to be sleepwalking - to be a victim to yourself. The scent of you sticks to my nostrils - vetiver and musk merging to form a powerful organism that haunts me.
In the shimmered silver shadow of the mirror - my mouth is agape, savouring the remaining maraschino cherries. The glassy syrup travels down my neck like how you peppered your kisses.
It seems I’ve arrived late to this wonderful poetry reading, but better late than never as they say.
Wow! I am so glad, I stumbled upon your channel. Lovely content! I write poems too and am planning to publish my book soon. Love your energy and smile. Keep shining!
Really beautiful! You are so good!
Well your working on your book perhaps consider releasing a collection of your poetry, years from now you could be one of the next writers high schoolers are studying
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! This has made me smile, thank you
thank you so much for sharing
i love it!
your so good
Thank you so much!
Hi! I’m a new UA-camr who’s looking to vlog abt poetry. Any advice?
I like to write poetry but I never show it to people because I'm a FUCKING FRAUD
I love your poems! 😍 Do you use any kind of Writing Online Software to write your poetry?
Thank you! Nope, not at all! :)
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed your poems, you might check with a fellow UA-camr Savannah Brown a poet and writer such as yourself and see what help she can give you.
How do you get the courage to read your poems online?
I've spoken to a camera for over ten years, so I'm used to that side of things! As for reading my poetry specifically, I think it came down to being open to criticism. My poetry isn't perfect, no one's is, and sharing it comes with vulnerability. But vulnerability is a great thing - putting yourself out there means people may come back and say they relate to what you've written and can identify with your words, which is really rewarding! It's all about taking that chance, being prepared for criticism (some people may not like your work and that's absolutely fine!) and embracing being vulnerable. :) Hope that makes sense, good luck!
These are not poems, rather just random thoughts
Thank you so much!
