- "There is Coming a Day of Judgment" (from Jeremiah Chapter One) - 20 Prophetic songs of warning!
Background:
On the first day of Spring my Bible reading was from Jeremiah Chapter One. I sang and played the piano spontaneously while reading the first 19 verses, then in response to Jer. 1:19 sang "I Will Fight For You" (a prophetic song the Lord had given me in Kuwait some years earlier). Suddenly a prophetic anointing came upon me with strong warnings from the Lord for America!-that we must always keep Christ first in our lives and never forsake Him. God was angry with America because we've (1) turned our backs on Him, (2) worshiped false gods, and (3) worshiped the works of our own hands (Jer. 1:16).
So after about 6 minutes singing fromJeremiah One, the Lord then gave me 20 prophetic songs, one after the other, containing strong rebukes and warnings for America (He even said He was annoyed with us!) I felt led to end with "Touch America" (a prayer-song also originally given to me by the Holy Spirit in Trinidad in 2004).
It was a profound 45 minutes of prophetic music! Thankfully we were able to record the entire performance, edit, and can now share it on UA-cam complete with lyrics to help viewers better grasp the meaning from God's heart. At the very end, God called me to be like Jeremiah: A prophet to the nations. It was a very personal intimate moment, which you can see me smiling from at the very end. This mantle from the Lord actually was in His perfect time-for it was exactly 21 years earlier that God had imparted the prophetic anointing into my life through the laying on of hands by four prophets in a prophetic presbytery at my church in March 1992! Some technical background:
I often open my King James Bible while seated at a music keyboard, and as I start reading, the Holy Spirit puts chords and melodies into my heart that match the words I'm reading.
This happened as I read Jeremiah Chapter One. I felt an ancient Middle-Eastern sound was needed, so I selected English Horn and Oud (a pear-shaped 11-string guitar-hidden away as sound #410, which took a long while to find on my little Yamaha DGX-230 keyboard). The moment I began playing it, I felt the inspiration of the Lord come upon me. This is how the evening began. And the result is, this 35-minute spontaneous album of prophetic songs, from Jeremiah Chapter One.
Thankfully I had set up the camera and recording equipment (having learned that God just might start singing and playing through me, so I'd better be ready!) -- and then the Holy Spirit took over, even guiding my hands to all the buttons. Some of what came out was a total surprise to me, but that's the fun part of flowing in the prophetic!
Such is the case for this album, called "There's Coming A Day of Judgment."
May this be a blessing to you, and a strong warning from the Lord, that we must always keep Christ first in our lives, and never never never forsake the Lord!
