      almost too perfect, too smooth. I like to keep it a lil rougher ;) just so it looks harder.

    This is the smoothest Ive seen you in any of the videos that I have watched. I skied for Nishizawa for a quick minute in the late 80s. Remember the Japanese for their smoothness and flow. Watched a clip of Stenmark skiing out there too. Making it look as easy as breathing. Thanks!

    Reilly, I’ve been following your videos for quite few years now. Your technique is flawless and your videos a total pleasure to watch, and I know you know my former mentor, friend and country fellow Pinky Fernandez. (I definitely see R Berger in your skiing without question). But I wanted to ask you about the following, I presume some might have perhaps questioned your narrow stance and whether there should be a bit more of legs separation, particularly if it comes from the pro racing schemes. What would you say to that topic when it comes up? Best regards.

  • @TheMonsterPool

    Perfect demo of these skis. A friend of mine has recommended these for me (not the pro version). I am not sure whether to buy the SL or SL pros though. I guess the pros might be to stiff to really enjoy them 8 hours a day for 1-2 weeks? Any recommendations?

    Is this ski a different ski from the Racetiger SL pro (17/18) you reviewed previously, if so could you us some of the differences, stiffness, dimensions etc. tks

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому +2

      Tip is wider, new 3d glass makes the torsional stiffness a little more responsive while keeping it softer tip to tail because this model I ski here doesn't have the plate. I will try and make another video explaining all the new features.

      I will try and do a review on the new GS ski if I can get my hands on it. It is not necessarily harder just different timing. I like to ski both.

    Who is your coach/has been most influential to your skiing?

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому +7

      99% of my career I have been self coaching but the biggest influence technique wise since I started instructing was Richi Berger, who has also been coaching me the last two years (a few days a winter). HH has also had some good feedback for me over correspondence but never done any training in person (just boot alignment course). But like I said 99% of the time it is just me giving myself feedback while watching videos when I am training, when I get the chance. Most of the videos up on UA-cam are all training videos.

    How many runs did you take until they were good enough for the video?

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому +2

      this video was made in 5 runs, it was filmed on the same day as the other video I uploaded last week... I only had a few hours to get the footage. So basically they are all first attempts in each demonstration.

    • @superskier61

      Mensud Devic hi. I do admire Reilly's ability. I have followed him and his two friends JF and Paul for a few years now.
      Yes I would like to see either of the three strap on a pair of 2x4's and ski them. Lol! I know they could do it, well. Thanks for your comment. Have a great summer.

    Hi Reilly -- how does this compare to last year's model?

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому +2

      it feels very different. They are wider at the tip, and the swing weight feels a little lighter. I didn't get to ski them on hard snow though, this was just on slushy sticky snow this day.

    Some A-framing on the medium carve but apart from that exceptional skiing.

    • @massimilianoortodossi8523
      @massimilianoortodossi8523 6 років тому

      also Lindsay Vonn have some a frame, a very dynamic and fast a frame. Not all the legs biomechanics are the same

      Ester doesn't. Nor does Marcel. And it's Lindsey.

    • @massimilianoortodossi8523
      @massimilianoortodossi8523 6 років тому

      RAR te la prendi con lo spelling perché sei a corto di motivazioni? Tipico degli inglesi ed americani che devono per forza trovare l errore facendo ammissione di ignorare che la tecnica è personale come espressione di molteplici fattori.

    How steep those slopes were?

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому

      This resort Kiroro is not known to be really steep. These are the steepest groomed runs on the mountain (not really steep) the groomed runs are red runs and the mogul course is marked "black"...

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому +2

      The unfortunate thing is no one can ever see how steep something is from a video. Even steep runs look flat when filmed.

    • @massimilianoortodossi8523
      @massimilianoortodossi8523 6 років тому

      Reilly McGlashan you right but definitely some harder snow conditions could be more indicatives of the performances of the skis you are using. Just a thought I know some pretending ski expert is going to be always hypercritical

    • @massimilianoortodossi8523
      @massimilianoortodossi8523 6 років тому

      Reilly McGlashan are you ever to turn up in Europe for some skiing? I am in Megeve and would love to show you around🇦🇺❄️🎿

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  6 років тому +1

      when I get a chance to film I have to settle with the conditions for what they are on the day which means I cannot choose... a lot of my videos are filmed in Europe. I live in Italy 4 months a year in the dolomites... one video here is from the ladies slalom world cup slope in Aspen. Hard ice snow (and once again from the video you cannot see how steep it is... but it is steep enough for a world cup slalom) ua-cam.com/video/KSPL0fTDUXw/v-deo.html

    • @massimilianoortodossi8523
      @massimilianoortodossi8523 6 років тому

      yep i do share with ya the opinion that on camera the slops are flatter. I am in italy also ...Dolomiti am watching it at the moment from my window...where are you exactly skiing in the Dolomiti? Are you working there?we may catch up for some business next winter. Always on the look for good trainer instructors.
