People like this don't get nearly enough respect, we all just sit in our cushy lives (myself included) and take everything for granted.
We don't think of the people that put in the backbreaking work to make sure our lives can run smoothly, or the fact that those people have families. I'm glad that this guy and his family were able to do this and enjoy it...... RESPECT sir.

I love my Kentucky home. I miss it and hope to get back there one day. Regardless of politics, what is the constant is that Kentuckians work hard, sacrafice everything for their families, and use their manners. Just simple stuff that other places, including my own current city, too frequentlly ignore. Opening doors for people, simply saying 'excuse' or 'pardon' me, 'yes Sir' and 'Yes Ma’am'. That stuff matters IMHO and please don't lecture me on how saying 'Yes Sir' and/or 'Yes Ma’am' implies some sort of age bias or similar silliness. It is purely a term of respect. and everyone should take it that way. That's just how we were raised. Number one Rule of Mom was "Use your Manners". Rock On Michael McGuire! Be safe and well brother.

My granddad was a coal miner, my dad (aunts and uncles)all grew up in a coal camp just hard working honest living. My grandma, who's 101 this year and still living at home on her own, she's got the best stories and funny ones. I love the ones about standing on the strike lines with a shotgun during the mine wars. Honest, hard working people. Mining isn't for some people but for those who do it, it's how you feed your family. Sadly, there's a lot less families today thanks to a failed government assault on the fabric of this country.
