He looks like he's having so much fun recording his lines (wow thank you all for all the likes I don't think I've ever had this many for the record I am aware Pete Davidson was the real voice for the movie and that Method acting the character to get into their voice is a common practice I'm just pointing out how fun it looks)

He is not lip syncing it's a voice over he is doing the voice acting himself , he's just not the original VA for the movie

It’s amazing how voice actors not only vocalize their character but they place themselves mentally in the scene like he was looking up at the plane even reacted to the coughing.
