I used to deliver for DoorDash. Yes the food smells good, no you shouldn’t have the audacity to actually touch the food. These are the people that ruin it for everyone else.
Timothy Brown You are right! I would not let someone deliver food to me, the fact that my friends work for this company and they eat peoples food yeah I would rather make my own food.
Benny Martinez That won't solved nothing because all a delivery person has to do eat that food is undo the staple or riped the packaging around it. If you really want a easy way to solved this problem is do either pick up the food yourself or don't order take out off and cooked your own means.
I once ordered a family sized order of wings and fries. The Doordash delivery guy opened my sealed bag and took my entire family sized order fries. He ate half of the large container of blue cheese dressing and spilled the rest in the bag. Then he had the nerve to give himself an extra tip. Doordash refund all of my money and the restaurant offered to replace my meal if I picked it up. They didn’t have in house delivery and I didn’t have a car. That was the third messed up order. Even though it wasn’t the restaurant this time I was done so I declined. Never ordered from them again.
My mate ordered from McDonalds in sidcup, London England once on Ubereats. When the delivery driver delivered his food, The driver rush away and when he dished out his food he noticed the mcdonald bag tamper labels had been ripped and half of his fries were missing. He gave a thumbs down to the driver, made a complaint to ubereats and they refunded his money in full. Don't know if the driver is still doing ubereats but I be surprised if he is.
That’s why I pick up my own food. Never would I ask to get it delivered. I’ve seen the inside of some driver’s cars and they’re dirty, imagine your good being delivered on that type of conditions!!! Nope, I’ll gladly pick up my own food, thank u (:
And yet you trust the restaurant? Listen dumby you are stupid because you dont know the dirty shit guy or girl preparing ur filthy disgusting food with their dirty hands.
Meanwhile Jose is sweating and rubbing it off with his hands. The person sweeping all the crap on the floor is sending dust all over the place onto your food. Not to to mention the constant talking with co-workers while they're cooking your food. All that saliva and spit particles end up on your food. All the dust does and not to mention how disgusting the tools they use to cook are. A simple reused dirty rag to 'clean' them.
My first Doordash experience: Gave extra tip in app because I live in an apartment building (albeit with an elevator) expecting to deliver to door. Driver wouldn't come up. Went down to get it myself. Came back and found half the fries were gone. To throw salt on the wound I later learned the tip went to Doordash and not even the Dasher. Now I always order straight from the restaurant that has dedicated delivery.
@Sound of Jesus I don't really care if the cost is passed on. Better than getting sick or catching some disease because some guy got hungry and decided to go through my food.
I find this interesting because when I was a teen I worked for a small restaurant in DK that did deliver. Since we worked for the restaurant, they would feed us i.e we could order off of the menu what we wanted for our designated breaks and at the end of the night we were usually allowed to take home any packaged food such as sandwiches that were made for that day home. I assume that with UberEats, door dash, etc. they aren’t getting any food from the restaurants and they technically are working for the food delivery company. (I have no idea how their payments work, do the delivery guys pay a fee to UberEats?) For me and my coworkers, we got to keep the tips that we made from customers. So I’m guessing not only is there no loyalty to the restaurant, but to customer as they most likely won’t ever see you again.
This should be seen by more people. During this whole Covid thing I randomly got mono and tonsillitis and it was awful. Thing is I had not left the house in over 2 months so odds are it was from someone delivering or making food.
I carry a stapler with me. A lot of restaurants staple the bags or put stickers on to seal the bag. I staple everything shut right at the restaurant (so the employee's are witnesses), and I keep the food in the back seat behind the drivers seat, so that if they are watching, they know I couldn't have been digging into their food while driving to them. I have never, and will never, mess with someone's food, and I try to make that as clear as I can with sealing the bag, and the location of the bag in my car.
I live in a large apartment building. I've never gotten food delivered here (I always pick up or eat at the restaurant) but my neighbors get food delivered frequently. I've been in the elevator with the delivery guys and I've noticed the food looks pretty sealed. Like in a heavy bag with a few staples on it. If I had a restaurant I'd seal both the container with stickers and the bag it came in.
That’s crazy. Long before Uber eats, I used to go out and bring back lunch for me and my colleagues. Eating their food never came to mind LOL. How are you tempted by the smell? That’s a character flaw. You are just a lowdown nasty thief who eats ppl’s food and has sticky fingers no matter what. So gross and inexcusable.
I try to stick with foods that if they ate them you’d know. Like an 8-count nugget or some places started using temper evidence packaging. But you never know, they could’ve farted on it. Fast food is always a gamble even if you go pick it up yourself.
I have two friends who work for Uber eats and they said that they eat food from the customers orders all the time, especially finger foods like fries and nuggets because the customers don’t notice it. My friend told me that he did eat a whole burger one time and when the customer complained about it he told them that he doesn’t go in the customers bag to check if everything is there, so he did not know the burger was missing and that the restaurant must have not put it in the bag. He told me he has only did that once and that he only sticks to eating the finger foods. I find it crazy that I stumbled on this video knowing what I know.
This is why I call the restaurant to tell them to make sure they staple it or or tie it in a plastic bag tightly to make sure I can tell if someone did tamper with it but I shouldn’t have to do that it should be automatic.
I just told my best friend that the other day. These are apps that hire anyone with no training. But even with that being said yih can Fire the worker and off to another app
My goodness.. that's why ppl keep getting strep throat, how can u even talk to a disgusting person like that did u even attempt to tell him to stop or tell your cousin he hangs aroun disgusting people and wtf!? And maybe report him, we got strep from some Chinese food and it was probably this kinda guy and a guy like u could have stopped it! Please do somthing !!!
I deliver through DoorDash, some restaurants such as McDonalds, Freddie's and some small, locally owned restaurants in my area put tamper proof stickers on the meals. They're great when they work, but oftentimes they don't stick to the bag making me look bad. The only stickers I haven't had an issue with are the McDonalds stickers.
I have been working for door dash for 3 years and I have never done this! God is watching! You may think you are getting away with something on this earth but God sees everything!
They could even spit in your food...they could do whatever they want. All bags should be sealed before it leaves the kitchen. Maybe stapling them closed across the top and if open the customer should not accept it as it has been tampered with. It is not rocket science there are solutions.
The food delivery app companies need to install webcams in these vehicles to keep an eye watch on those crooked greedy pig behind delivery drivers, making sure they’re not munching on the customer’s food.
As a food delivery driver I wouldn't mind. I hate these drivers that eat the customers food or drinks their drinks. If these drivers do get caught I hope they get banned because it makes the other drivers look bad. I prefer to keep the food in bags I get from Amazon so the food doesn't get cold or if its cold it stays cold. If I want to eat I eat when my app is off. If their is a UPS or FedEx package for the customer I remind them of it. I drink my own water as I like to stay hydrated. I do it for the money and hopeful of tips. Best book drivers should read is How to Win Friends and Influence people. I think it would be nice if restaurants gave us discounts on the food too.
I work for UberEATS and ive never even considered it ,nmbr 1 it unsanitary nmbr 2 im not going to lose my job over pettiness and nmbr 3 i wouldn't wnat it done to me ,i think that its a shame the drivers like that give all of us a bad name , i have a 98 percent satisfaction rating and i want to get it up to 💯 percent
I will NEVER use a food delivery service. Especially, these days with so many sociopaths out there today in society. Last time I ordered delivery was a pizza 25 years ago.
I've been working with a food delivery company since February. Not once have I eaten any food nor taken a sip from a drink. Makes no sense to me. The only time that I've taken food home is when the order for some reason was cancelled after I picked it up or I just could not locate the customer. I was given an address that when I arrived the location was a 4 store strip mall and no one from any of those stores, one was closed, ordered any food. The dispatcher told me to give the food away or take it home. I tried giving it to someone but the guy didn't want it so that was that. I took it home. Once I forgot to give a customer their fountain drink. When I realized it, it was too late to take it to them. So I just poured it out.
That’s all those apps, like I drive for jets pizza and I can’t even imagine eating someone’s food. It makes you all look bad, and will make people stop ordering. USE COMMON SENSE!
We use lots of tape on food packaging as tamper seals here in the Philippines. Simple but effective. Plus, drivers are already given fastfood to eat on a daily basis, to the point that they wouldn't dare to touch other people's orders anymore.
Anything can happen before the food reaches the customers. Restaurants should seal all the bags before the delivery people leave the restaurants and head to the customer's houses.
The woman at 1:07 is okay with paying for two meals for every one she eats herself. After delivery fees and a tip, that means she is probably paying close to 50 bucks for each meal. I guess her time must be pretty valuable.
This is exactly why I don't ever eat takeout food ever! I've worked in the food industry before and I seen first how nasty and disgusting some food preparer & delivery people are!
The restaurants should have sealed containers and sealed bags to seal the sealed containers in. If the seal is broken then they will know it was tampered with.
Schocked, not so much just think about when your family member goes and picks up the order, there's always some french fries missing, but at least they fess-up, when asked about it! 😂 Ikr! But strangers I'm not paying you to eat my food!🤨
First of your not paying them anything unless you tip.A Driver eating your food is very rare I’m talking about finding $5,000 in the street rare but the news over reports and inflates the problem because they don’t like success.
I do food delivery and did not touch the customers' food, restaurants have to pack and seal the covers How McDonald's does, everyone has to do their part to make everything work,if you do not send a sealed meal you just have to not receive the
Constant problem with my Door Dash deliveries. Chinese chicken salad had a Whole chicken breast missing, along with other parts of salad; I got dry lettuce. Grocery orders I was charged for & not received included 6 half gallons of organic milk (he told me I didn’t order it & he lost the receipt), cookies, ice cream, & more Never delivered. It has happened at least 9 out of 10 times. Won’t use them again after I use the credit from yesterday’s mess up.
I delivered food I had customer canceled order after I picked it up. Since it was mine now I grab a few fries, but if someone was taping it could have look like I was eating someone’s food. Remember looks can be deceiving. How do we know this was not his case and he moved his own food away from customers orders. What if had been working for couple of hours. And just took a quick lunch.
Some eateries seal their packages. I always get sealed packages here in my PA small town. When my son had breakfast delivered in Brooklyn (chocolate croissants and coffee when I visited him), the packages were sealed. Even the coffee cups were sealed.
I use DoorDash sometimes but I’m more petty than that. I carry 2 mcchickens a big Mac and a 10 pc nugget with me for the people who think it’s okay to not tip. And when I get that client I simply just replace one of those fresh things with something I’ve had from last night.
That lady is sweet she said if you're hungry let me buy you a meal so you can leave mines alone how many people think like that not that many and it's a lot of people that do food deliveries that don't even have time to stop to get nothing to eat because they just constantly keep sending orders and orders to your phone expecting you not to take a break
I am a DoorDash driver. When I enter the parking lot, before leaving my car, I pull out my phone and make sure there isn't any special instructions(leave order at a certain location, don't ring doorbell, etc...)
If you order kosher food, then you are more secure, because in order to be labeled kosher it must be sealed with words so if anyone open you will see that someone open it, (that only by meat)
They should use a locked container that has a lock code only you will know it when you order the food. The restaurant should place the food in the container and lock it that way the driver can't access it.
SOLUTION: The fast food delivery should put a seal on the box and if the customer see it is broken, then they'll know it was tampered by the delivery guy and therefore can report. Simple.
some delivery apps require delivery drivers to check the food if its complete and nothing missing. so drivers digging inside to check so they don't get bad rating for missing food. that is so bad that driver can touch with dirty hand to your food. this problem can be resolved easy if restaurant pack correctly and seals it. problem solved .
I've eaten a slice of pizza from an order before because the dude didn't tip. Wish I coulda seen the look on his face when he opened the box. I probably woulda died laughing.
Why would he tip before you delivered it? Isn’t it logical and common sense to tip after a service is given not before. You didn’t deserve a tip anyway if that’s your response
And no telling what else they might be doing to people food and we know what might be going on from some restaurants that the people who are making the food like some go to the bathroom and never wash their hands and much more and that's my food for thought LoL 😜
That exact thing happened to my uncle first time he ordered from uber eats to get some macdonalds the delivery person took so long he just went to get it himself and just when he got in he saw the delivery person grab his bag of food (he knew because the app said the food was en route to his house shortly after the food was taken and it was slow at that time of day) then they went straight to the bathroom then came out of said bathroom to deliver his order needless to say that was his first and last time ever useing a food delivery app
That makes sense ubereats recruitment process is virtually non existent, they just get everyone to apply online you don’t get interviewed. Just submit a bunch of documents and you could be driving in 24hrs.
I deliver food in NYC, & I'd never do that, that's horrible! But I would say to everybody to start tipping & stop being cheap, if u can't afford it don't order out, we depend on ur tips to survive! Some people remember ur address & name, lol!
No response from the delivery companies. Of course, why would they keep the problem alive that’s income for them? The fact drivers take food is disrespectful and disgusting. Nothing surprises me anymore. SMH
I contract for one of these companies & I always seal bags if the merchant hasn't already. Most bags can be tied, some need staples or stickers. Regardless, I seal everything at the store, so it's on video.
That's why you should not be too lazy to go pick up your own food in the food outlets. Let these people go jobless. I never order any food this way. I don't trust people especially people with no money to eat good food. They should seal the food bags that can only be opened by cutting.
I used to deliver for DoorDash. Yes the food smells good, no you shouldn’t have the audacity to actually touch the food. These are the people that ruin it for everyone else.
People have no self control, it's absolutely insane. Imagine tampering with someone else's meal because it smelled good.
yet another reason for you to either pick up your meal or cook at home.
Timothy Brown whoever is cooking it or putting it in the bag could eat it so makes no difference
Timothy Brown You are right! I would not let someone deliver food to me, the fact that my friends work for this company and they eat peoples food yeah I would rather make my own food.
Klaiel Lordez probably a better cook anyways
You should lol . But dam your friend men or lady’s ?
NOT EVERYONE IS LIKE THIS! I deliver door dash and I’ve never touched anyone’s food they get the order the condition but was handed to me.
U got a stranger cooking ur food and a stranger delivering it 🤷🏾♀️
FACTZ like shit
Haven’t we all 🙄🙄 You’re telling me you’ve never had a stranger cook your food?
People don't know how to cook anymore
SoTrue, but that stranger has a better chance tampering with your food when he/she are alone and with time.
@@Theaudacity100 yes she probably has she is asking what did you expect? 😂😂😂😂
Easy problem to solve, just staple it shut.
Chris B lol 😂 sad but true.

I’m glad I cook 90% of my meals. The other 10% I’ll just have to go get it myself now 🤷🏽♀️

I’m always full when I go out and deliver so there’s absolutely no temptation.
Oh my god, delivery drivers shouldn’t be eating customers food. Absolutely disgusting. I just hope I don’t have to through the same thing
I wish I constantly got orders
Every time I see a driver pick up my order but then pause in a random parking lot for several minutes afterward I feel like this could be happening.
I am a DoorDash driver. When I enter the parking lot, before leaving my car, I pull out my phone and make sure there isn't any special instructions(leave order at a certain location, don't ring doorbell, etc...)
@@mikemayo4812 I was referring to parking lots that are not the one for my building. I meant I see them on the map in some other parking lot.
@@Dreamprism I don't understand why drivers need to eat the customer's good. After a couple deliveries, I have enough to buy my own food.
I mean why would the drivers actually admit they are some of the order? 😂😂
It's probably anonymous, even more do it most likely since a lot of people won't admit it since a study like this can hurt their business.
BECAUSE YOU GET TO SAMPLE IT AND TRY NEW FOODS FOR FREE AND ITS FUCKING FUNNY WHEN I PUT 1 INCH LONG PUBIC OR ARMPIT HAIR IN A MEAL
chopperdown911 lmao savage 💀 I bet they will tip next time
I deliver food and I would never dream of doing that
If you order kosher food, then you are more secure, because in order to be labeled kosher it must be sealed with words so if anyone open you will see that someone open it, (that only by meat)
They should use a locked container that has a lock code only you will know it when you order the food. The restaurant should place the food in the container and lock it that way the driver can't access it.
Are they delivering gold?
@@dc6288 I guess it would be gold to some people 😂☠️
SOLUTION: The fast food delivery should put a seal on the box and if the customer see it is broken, then they'll know it was tampered by the delivery guy and therefore can report. Simple.
I'm going to eat them if they do that
If she's hot
some delivery apps require delivery drivers to check the food if its complete and nothing missing. so drivers digging inside to check so they don't get bad rating for missing food. that is so bad that driver can touch with dirty hand to your food. this problem can be resolved easy if restaurant pack correctly and seals it.
problem solved .
I never did that UNLESS the customer cancels the order
I don’t know if they are required but they should be required to have a food card.
And they still don’t pick up their phone for instructions or to open up a gate . time is worth a lot
Octavio: **hands Hank the meat loaf sandwich after taking the money** “Uhhhh, there was a bite taken out of it when I got it!” **speeds off in van**
I wont order anymore with out a sealed container
WE KNOW ALL THE TRICKS AROUND IT IT TAKES TIME BUT US DRIVERS COMMUNICATE BUT ONE RULE IS NOT TO TOUCH KIDS MEALS AND PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES
Lmao
These drivers make the rest of the honest drivers look bad.
Wow! Just buy your own food as your picking up the food for the customer. How hard is that?
That makes sense ubereats recruitment process is virtually non existent, they just get everyone to apply online you don’t get interviewed. Just submit a bunch of documents and you could be driving in 24hrs.
I'm a delivery driver. The number one rule is to eat b4 you start working or bring a snack. Don't eat the customers food, buy your own assholes.
Yes! Please start putting Tamper-resistant Tape, and/or, placing Customer's food & drink in Tamper-resistant food containers, especially.
No I don't think so may be he ate his food
Yeah I dont see what would be so hard about even using a sticker or label to seal a container shut before it leaves for delivery.
Wont the drivers have a bad reputation with the food place they pick up from?
I deliver food in NYC, & I'd never do that, that's horrible!
But I would say to everybody to start tipping & stop being cheap, if u can't afford it don't order out, we depend on ur tips to survive!
Some people remember ur address & name, lol!
Facts, each week a cyclist is dying. We going through these flash foods and no tips
Thats why people should go get there own food 🤷
I found mayo on my burger but I never ordered any . I called up the restraunt and they said they don’t carry mayo
It's not mayo
The people who don't TIP had better not order again. It will be worse than just driver eating a fries.
1:07 what a sweetheart 🥺
No response from the delivery companies. Of course, why would they keep the problem alive that’s income for them? The fact drivers take food is disrespectful and disgusting. Nothing surprises me anymore. SMH
I ain't ordering shit im done.
A reason not to be lazy and bring your lunch or cook.
Ikr right! Being disabled with no car is soooo lazy
