As both male and female are nearly identical, both birds share brooding, feeding and cleanup, it would be clearer to consider a 50/50, or close to it in terms of which bird is doing what.

Skin being rubbed raw from scratching, still itching, can't stop scratching and losing feathers. It must have some sort of skin parasite?? Maybe?? There is no pooping problem, the chick is infested with some sort of parasite, parents are trying to eat them, but the chick is already loaded with them. Would a dust bath help? It's itching so bad it doesn't even want to eat- not good.
Missed another feeding, it can't stop itching and preening, definitely got ants in its feathers, and still got tiny ants in the nest. Chick should abandon ship and get a dust bath!

There's a lot of ants in this nest and the parent bird is picking them out. Ants are walking up and down the largest branch right side of nest.
