Thank you for your review. Really helped me a lot in deciding if I should get this shoe or not. I purchased the black colorway size US 8.5 (265cm) since the size 9 which I normally wear with other brands has 270cm and it fits me perfectly. Before wearing it though I thought the shoe was small lol.. What I did not want at first was the grip (used it on a dusty court) but after break in, I agree with you, these shoes are one of the best performance wise. I love the premium leather which gives it a classic look (90s shoes vibe) but not heavy on foot. Breathability is its downside so after playing I always remove it. What I love most about this shoe is its cushion. My knees did not hurt after playing more than 2 games which usually happens when I wear my other basketball shoes. Overall Im very satisfied with it's performance.
Very welcome!! Glad they’re working out for you. I share you same sentiments. The breathability is the only issue imo 🤷🏽♂️ Prolly bcuz they’re made with premium materials and less ventilation. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!!
Awesome video, but I’m confused about the sizing. I wear a TTS in almost every shoe including ASICS running shoes. I’m looking at charts for sizing of this particular shoe and the length in inches is 11 in size 10 but I’m around 10.8 which is a size 9.5. Which one should I get? I also saw you said you can go down 1/2 for a performance fit. Just want to get the right size on the first try.
im a 10.5 unfortunately recently had foot surgery the narrow shoes are a bit tight in the toe box. the cosmic unitys in an 11 felt good but looked huge
Ahh gotcha. Hope you had a speedy recovery! I agree with you narrow toe boxes are not foot for your overall health. I was doing extensive research and found that narrow toe boxes in shoes can cause an huge amount of injuries and sickness. I also like the cosmic unitys but like you said the look too huge for my taste and style. In these tho, I would even consider going half a size down to give more of a snug ‘performance fit’ but if your a wide-footer or you’ve had foot surgery I’d stay tts or even go 1/2 size up. Sizing is crazy tho bcuz it’s in Japanese 🇯🇵 sizing. I’d recommend going with your Euro 📏 size rather than US size.
Forshure i think the 10 would maybe be tight and 11 maybe too big its crazy cus they dont sell these in us cant even see them in person would you say the toe is narrow ? Also how is the cushioning / insole
Exactly! The cushioning and insole are great actually. The impact protection and absorption gives you more comfort than most performance sneakers, but it takes away from the “court feel”… granted, they do have a decent sense of court feel ijs it is a lessened with this particular sneaker. It is as if you are standing on top of the floor so-to-speak. Also, because they are made with premium materials in the upper, I do believe it’s real leather and not synthetic leather; The breathability is compromised, so your foot sweats the longer you play. That said, you have to take into consideration: 1) how long you were going to be playing? 2) alternating socks, 3) swapping out your shoes, etc.
^^ Don’t get me wrong. They are great performance, basketball shoes! And the outrigger piece that I was looking for, they’re great. But the aforementioned is something you may want to consider, being as though the 1) sizing, 2) if you are unable to try the sneaker on prior to ordering. 3) Also the price point. They are in the upwards of $140- $160 minimum. You can find some for $129.99 but by the time you include shipping and handling it will be closer to $180. That said, there are less expensive performance shoes that will address the same need.
I don’t have a pair of the gel burst, but imo they resemble solely a tennis or volleyball sneaker. Whereas the nova surge can be used for those two sports but is primarily a basketball sneaker. Hopefully that helps!!
@@fazrulizwan2629 i don’t own the gel hoop but I am a narrow footer and the nova surge is more suitable for narrow footers. Although the mid foot area is spacious
Was not my experience when I played in them. It could also possibly be the court that you are playing on. Granted, they are super grippy, so it may attract whatever is on the surface. I had no issues.
Sorry brother I have a one question I'm size 10.5us in every nike basketball shoes and puma basketball shoes and under armour basketball I wear 10.5us Should I stay 28 or 28 .5 for nova surge low ?
Yeah you can go 1/2 size down. Especially if you prefer “performance fit”. But since it has a narrow toe-box it may pinch your pinky toe. So I’d be careful. I training in them and actually played in a few open run games and the tts worked
@@BoxesInTheBasement seems an amazing pair and am a loyal ASICS running fan !!! So, am very tempted to get it! However, I am a 1,92shifty/explosive guard and bulky & heavy shoes are not my thing.
Understood. They are not as bad as it’s sounding. TBH, I will recommend trying them on first. Or purchase from a seller that accepts returns, just in case they don’t work out for you.

Hi! Are they low to the ground?
@@chamz8942 Hi! Not really. They’re slightly elevated. They do have decent court-feel for them being slightly raised.

hi can anyone help me, which is more suitable for wide feet foot. is it GEL HOOP V16 or NOVA SURGE LOW?
@@fazrulizwan2629 i don’t own the gel hoop but I am a narrow footer and the nova surge is more suitable for narrow footers. Although the mid foot area is spacious
are they good for outdoors?
Yes! It appears to be real leather so if you don’t mind scratching the toebox area you good (re: toe drags)…the sole is durable tho
Apparently the surge low attracts dust easily @@BoxesInTheBasement

I have a one question
I'm size 10.5us in every nike basketball shoes and puma basketball shoes and under armour basketball I wear 10.5us
Should I stay 28 or 28 .5 for nova surge low ?
All good brother! Yes. I’d stay with the 28.6CM which is 10.5US.
My man you got me hype for theeese. Only a size up in my country, do you think it’s too much?
I was hype too bro! The white pair came in. Imma do a review on those this weekend/week. They fire too! (What size do you wear?)
@@BoxesInTheBasement I’ll check it out bro! I’m a 10 to 10.5. Unfortunately only size 11 is available here

shoe weight?
On the heavier side. Don’t have the exact measurements. They have to much impact absorption in the sole and midsole!!
