Except it happened this episode. Every place of destruction we see them investigating we've seen Saitama do it in the show. The monster that was in City Z (with the konbu seaweed hair) was met by Saitama while carrying his groceries home. It's meant to be obvious (and a joke) that the big terrifying monster that is living in the city is Saitama.

Very wholesome to see people experience my favourite anime of all time, more than 7 years after I first saw it. And finally with a third season on the way. A very very mild spoiler for season 2 is that it was done by a different anime studio and is simply not as good as season 1 but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. People just over-reacted because it was not the same studio.
No, the animation had a dip from the blow your head out of the first season to the decent one of second season. It is decent animation but the dip in quality put people off. Unfortunately, I am one of those and knowing what will happen later on left me a bit disappointed on where they ended the second season. Then reading more of the manga, I think they made the right choice. Well, the second season finally gets an over arching story. So I suggest trying to pay more attention to that.

Which in its own sense makes this anime a great show. It's one of a kind. Thank you for liking the show so far.
No, he was trying to kill people, remember the little boy and the car. Sonic is a villain, he's just a joke next to Saitama and was trying to get him to fight him because Saitama is a little slow at times and didn't realize he was bad, he just thought he was being annoying because he wanted to spar when he was genuinely trying to kill Saitama.

Saitama doesn't report anything to the Hero Association about the monsters he defeats and doesn't even remember/care about them after. He doesn't get paid for those unreported incidents, so our guy is very poor that is why he's always looking for sales and gets pissed if he missed 1.👊

The monster's hair is konbu seaweed. Konbu is pretty commonly used for soup stock.
