Thank you! I have had this for a few years, finally decided to take it out and try it, but I couldn’t figure out how to pull the weeds out, so I bend over to hold the long thing that holds on to the weeds.. this is way better 😂😂 I mainly use it for thistles!
You just step it into the ground than pivot it towards you until the foot lever is solid against ground and then lift it out. @0.27 show the action if you look for it you see the pivot/rock towards you the the lift

I used to use the weed hound by hound dog a couple decades ago before i let the dandelions win. It could pull up the whole tap root on the big ones with consistency. The smaller dandies would break often. Maybe the newer ones like this are better though.
@@Jon_Chan I’m sure I can get it somewhere else. I’m headed to Costco and B&Q (uk version of Home depot or Lowes, B&Q even uses the orange branding but isn’t related) to look for one!
It does help your grass grow back, but it could also give way to new weeds. I tends to seed my lawn and water it after the weeds get removed to make sure grass replaces the bare spots instead of more weeds.
I need to get rid of thick black mustard weed plants taking over. Weed trimmer is useless, the stalks are too thick. Don’t have a lawn mower, not sure if the mower is suitable for tall weed like that.
I usually fill it with clover seed, not grass seed. Mixed clover lawn is much healthier in my opinion. Personally, I do not like using weed killer, especially if you have kids or pets.
There's a small, hand held version for $8 (Fiskar, too). Somehow, I just don't have the ability to always pull weeds completely from the roots properly. I'm thinking something like this would have a better success rate than me. 👀 😊

It’s so easy to use that I sometimes start weeding during one of those meetings that could have been an email.
I have this tool for the past 3-4 years and love it.. it works well! no more getting on my hand and knees in the garden for weeds.

So far it’s been great! I pulled it out again this past weekend and pulled big and small ones out of the yard. The rain makes it even easier.
There pretty sweet, unfortunately I believe dandy line roots are deeper then what the tool can reach. It's always a losing battle with weeds 😂
i got one of these.. its still a lot of work if you have thousands of weeds, but it does save bending over for them..

Great tool, but it does leave gaping holes in your lawn.
What do you do when you make giant holes in the grass? Does it promote weed growth?
I didn’t fill in the holes afterwards. It’s almost like aerating the lawn.

This tool is a high risk of snapping the roots of tall weeds
What about the dirt pulled out?
It is a cool tool, however, will be nice if it only pulls out the weed and the roots.
Should i still spray on some weed killer once its been pulled with the root?
Yea either that or if you cleared a big patch of weeds, fill it in with grass seeds. Otherwise weeds just take over the free real estate again.

Don’t buy it, it’s a POS. Buy the grandpas weeder if you want a stand up weed tool
