I honestly want a video focused on Arlo just gushing about Pikmin, what the series means to him, and stories about his favorite memories and how he got into the series.
Also I respect you so dang much for admitting your mistakes with your video (even though I believe people still overreacted in the comments). I hate it when UA-camrs act like they're above criticism. Also I love how much you strive for positivity. Kind of off topic, but recently I've been watching more opinion based videos with angry comments and it's been really saddening. Constructive criticism is great! But I've seen so many people say something is bad and nothing else or don't have enough info on something and jump to conclusions. You get your facts straight and are kind and constructive when criticizing something so thank you for that as well.

The original video was the first, and really the only video of yours that I disagreed with. Instead of acting rationally, I commented on that video stating that you were wrong. That it wasn't that bad. That at least we'll still be getting a real Pikmin 4, and that you should just ignore this game if you don't like it.
But now, just as you apologized for that video. Even though you didn't have too. I will apologize for my original comment. I should have just let your opinion be, and listened to my own advice: If I didn't like it, I should have just ignored it.
So here I say: Even if you didn't read or see my original comment. I'm sorry for writing it. It was rude of my, to try and force my opinion on you.
As a side note, I actually do agree with you now. This game doesn't look terrible, but it's definitely not something that catches my fancy. I'm sure it will be fun for kids and casual gamers. But it isn't Pikmin.

I really appreciate your goal to keep the channel positive, keep all criticism constructive, and keep all opinions as just opinions. There's too many people nowadays that just like to have blanket cynicism on everything, never being happy with anything, just say that something sucks without properly explaining why or giving credit to things that are good, and act like their opinions are fact. Blanket optimism is wrong, too, so the fact that you're healthily both positive and negative that is a sign of deliberate thought and effort.
Thank you for this. It's this kind of dedication that made you one of my top favorite UA-camrs in my almost 10 years on UA-cam.

You are the only UA-camr that i currently know that thinks and try to improve your content. Being honest, i've never seen a UA-camr make a Video "apologizing" and explaining all of your criticism. I'm proud of being one of your first subscribers and keeping it that way.

gustavo duarte Arlo isn't the first to do this. Spawn Wave did one a while ago. There was a video that I can't remember the context of, but he ended up smashing some animal crossing Amiibo and the Animal Crossing Wii U game with a hammer. That video got a tonne of dislikes and negative comments, and he posted a video the next day. He explained that he didn't enjoy making that video, and he was just trying something new. He didn't want his channel to become one of those brainless destruction channels, and apologised for it. I'd say he's one of the best gaming news UA-camrs out there.

Adam Evening, I don't think you actually watched the video. Arlo isn't apologizing for his opinion, in fact he still shows the exact same opinion in this same video.
He also provides a very good reason for deleting it and he's explicitly allowing reuploads. He just doesn't want it on THIS channel.
Arlo is truly unique among all other game reviewers. He APOLOGIZED for stating his opinion that offended some people. In a world of UA-camrs who will explode when someone looks at them wrong( I'm kind of exaggerating) Arlo is a channel that always thinks about more than just himself. I respect you, you blue......... thing.
I know A LOT of youtubers that are passionate about they're craft and actively try to push there content further and further and admit they're mistakes...

I see your point. Arlo isn't the only UA-camr who is passionate and polite at the same, but he just legitimately seems like a nice guy. Maybe he is pandering to the audience, but I'm fine if with that if he still puts out quality content. :)
Egoraptor just seems very self-centered. I mean, I love Game Grumps and the Mega Man Sequelitis, but some of his other videos fail to speak to me. His opinions are not objective, but it can come off as if he thinks that way sometimes. But, hey, he can think whatever he wants, Game Grumps is still hilarious.
Seeing this 3-year-old comment brings me back to when The Spoony One lost so much respect when he decided to start banning people from his forum simply for disagreeing with him.

I want to thank you for this video. I completely understand what you are saying and I thank you for keeping your channel positive and constructive. There are several Nintendo channels that I have watched for years because I found their content upbeat and happy, and I enjoyed the fun and celebration of Nintendo they invigorated in me. However, over the years their channels became more about ranting and complaining, especially during the "dark" years of the last few years of the Wii U. I had to unsubscribe at last because their negativity just wasn't what I was looking for in the Nintendo community and gaming UA-cam in general.
So it makes me so incredibly happy that you understand the line between constructive criticism and negativity, and that you seek to remain positive. That is exactly what I love about your channel and what I loved about similar channels. Your self-reflection shows that you are a fantastic UA-camr, and you have a fan for life because of it.
All I know is that I feel better now because Arlo posted a video☺️

Cant believe the last video was controversial, probably since Its a game I dont crave as well. The original Pikmin looks miles above this one but still the new game looks decent.
I just find it weird that the graphics look so jainky and bad. I mean, if you compare it to something like "Kingdom Hearts 3ds Dream Drop Distance" then the graphics are just horrendously laughable.

How on earth did he do a bad job expressing his argument fairly at his Star Fox Zero review? ._. He was right with the problems of the game, like being a 64 resharsh with shitty motion controls. He doesn't have a problem to people who liked the game but if they're going to say his review was bad just because he didn't like the game, then there's a huge problem to them.
His argument itself was fair, it was mainly that he didn't address that there were people who liked the motion controls in the game, like The Completionist.
If it was a missunderstanding on their part this video would be completely different. If anything this video wouldn't even exist because Arlo knows when he does something wrong, and this is one of the few cases.

Yep he could not have predicted that however I do want to say that Hey Pikmin is still not on Switch specifically and that because the eShop is shut down you can't play it on 3DS easily.

I can't blame you for your thinking on the game. At the game's announcement we didn't have any information on what the game was about with the only information, being "heading for the goal", making it sound like a linear platformer. Now that we have information about the TRUE goal of the game (The 30,000 golden acorn thingamabobbers) It kinda fixes the bad job done by the Nintendo Direct telling what the game was originally.

I'm also not that interested in getting the game either. It just looks uninteresting to me personally & this is coming from a Pikmin fan. Granted, I'm not angry at this game's existence at all. I don't think it's going to kill the franchise like Sticker Star did did with the Paper Mario franchise, since Nintendo confirmed that Pikmin 4 is still a thing & will be coming to the Switch sometime in the future.

I don't comment often, but I wanted to say that I respected that a blue puppet so passionately spoke his mind. Little sad to see you moving away calling stuff as you see it. I loved listening to your opinions even if I didn't agree with them.
I basically had the same opinion on Hey Pikmin as you had in your first video on it. But then I went to a Nintendo press event and when I arrived there Hey Pikmin was the ONLY game nobody wanted to play and that had jo queue. So I said "Well... Might as well try that piece a shit." And to my own surprise I really liked the game, even if it were only the early levels, which were quite simple. I think you should just try the demo, if you haven't already. I mean, it isn't Pikmin 4. But it still has a lot of charme and is just kind of a feel-good game.
I understand your decision @Arlo and support it 100%. Your upbeat content is why I stick around. I love your enthusiasm for your work.

Huge respect to you for doing this. While I haven't seen the original video (but will shortly), I'm impressed that you saw your issues with the video and took the L instead of complaining about it. Yes, a opinion is a opinion, but that doesn't mean it should be stated if it's purpose is only to hurt others, and that exactly what that video seems to do. Also, while I haven't played Hey! Pikmin!, I have heard that it's actually a good game and I did recently bought it to fing that out. I'm actually looking forward to play it someday!
Plus, that Arlo Update thing is a neat idea, but I don't think that's the way to go for updates on your channel since it's hidden.
One last thing. While I don't think the GameXplain video exists, I would love to see it if it did!
EDIT: I have now seen a reupload of the original video, and it isn't really that bad! I disagree with you with it being "too negative". It's just a regular Arlo video but the point of it is being negative instead of positive.
The video is just a product for it's time and hasn't hold up well. Yes, you said that "Nintendo thinks we will buy anything as long as it has our favorite characters" (which is obviously wrong), but you forgot to mention one thing - Nintendo said that the the Chibi-Robo series would die if Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash didn't sell well, which it did. After such a comment and so many questionable spin-offs instead of mainline games, it's completely understandable why you was so disappointed with them. I would be that too, so context is key ere!
You should reupload the video in my opinion. It might be controversial, but it isn't that bad and could be used as a "looking back at those times" kind of thing.
Your hot take on Pikmin 3ds (now "Hey Pikmin") was the first video of yours I watched. Needless to say I'm glad that was not the only opinion of you I formed. A few weeks later when other videos popped into my feed I was tempted and all those others I watched were good quality videos and I subbed as a result.
Had that video been the only one of yours I've seen and did not give another of your videos a shot I would have missed out on a quality UA-cam channel

I think the points Arlo made in the second half of the original video still stand. Just because Nintendo has fixed their problems, does not mean they were not once problems. I loved my Wii as a kid. I was excited for the Wii U. But I really just ended up with a 5 year drought of games. I have a Switch now, and I am very happy with it, but that does not make 5 years of pure "filler content" okay. And I think it's very important to discuss negatives, because it teaches us what doesn't work. Nintendo's treatment of their fan base during that period of time was unacceptable. As grateful that I am that that period has ended, we should not be so quick to forget it.

I just want to take this moment to say Arlo, your content is amazing. I don't know if I've ever really expressed how much I love your channel in the comments before, but let me say now that I LOVE it. Your ability to bring such character and emotion to a puppet is astonishing. I was watching Muppets From Space earlier today, a childhood favorite of mine, and all the puppets in the show really bring character. You do the same, if not better, at bringing a puppet to life. The way you look off into the distance and ramble on like a human makes me view Arlo the puppet as a person. It's not someone behind the puppet making the videos, it is Arlo the puppet making the videos. It legitimately makes me feel bad to type this comment because I feel like I'm ruining my childhood over again with a "this person doesn't actually exist" kind of thing. You have been able to convince a grown person that there is a blue man named Arlo that I can run into in public and want his autograph. The majority of this comment has been about how you brought a puppet to life but there are so many other, more important qualities of this channel that I love. I could sit and watch an Arlo video for hours (thanks for that Zelda one). There's something just so joyful and entertaining about your content, even when the content is negative. I'm gonna cut the whole fake "you saved my life" comment crap, but believe me when I say you have the ability to turn a sad day to a happy one, just by a watch of your videos. Being subscribed to your channel has been a journey. A journey I am so glad to have joined 10 months ago.

I tend not to get angry over video games. Disappointed? Yeah, all the time, unfortunately, but I never feel like I need to scream at the screen for a lame trailer.
