Gotta love seeing Kiernan Shipka and Olivia Holt in a movie together.
Olivia Holt has come a long way since her Young Lion Days on Disney Channel.
Why?
The Tears Shed by Our Lord for You by Sensus Fidelium.
@@MiArcangelhaha same, why? Lol
I thought it was McKenna Grace at first lol.
Shipka is criminally underused. She is a brilliant actor!
I agree. I would actually like to see her play Supergirl in "Woman of Tomorrow". She'd kill it!
We need more Shipka
she's also a brilliant actress, cause, ya know, she's a woman (i think, for now?!)
anyone would be better than the 'superwoman' we got in the flash movie.@@ojmcclanahan689
@@petermcnallt12pm actor can be used for both.
I'm just surprised Kiernan Shipka is not in more movies. Totally love her. Can't wait for this one. She should definitely be involved in the horror genre.
Who?
She is terrible. Hated her on Mad Men, but she got a pass because she was young. Then Sabrina happened and it was like, no, she just sucks at acting. This trailer is the first time I've seen her remotely believable.
shes not black enough for hollweird...
@@chrisgraboski9133what…?
Have you seen The Blackcoat's Daughter? She's in that one and it's a solid horror film.
This looks like a perfect fit into a happy death day/freaky cinematic universe
I was about to say lol Especially funny because both are produced by Blumhouse
So are we gonna see a post credit of how ryan comes up with the idea for his machine?
I’m all for that! Need a horror cinematic universe that has humor!
was thinking about that while i was watching it
Maybe I'm (the) only one but Was also getting a Definitive (The) Final Girls Vibe from this. Which is Absolutely Fine and Welcome by me
Happy deathday is a time loop movie. This is a time travel movie.
OMG Julie Bowen, Claire Dunphy!!!!
And she's still a Halloween mom even in another universe, love it.
I like the premise and also whenever a series or movies go retro. Idk if it's because I was born at the start of the decade but the 80s was so much fun.
Happy Death Day meets Hot Tub Time Machine
@@SayAhhthe pairing I didn’t know I needed until now
IMO, when movies nowadays go retro, it's harder to guess the ending. And we expect more plot twist.
The Tears Shed by Our Lord for You by Sensus Fidelium.
i was born at the end of the decade lol 1988 so yeah.
Olivia Holt is killing it in horror! She did a great job on Cruel Summer, I still remember her from Kickin' It!
She's one of my favourite Disney Channel stars. I Didn't Do It was a decent show, was sad that it went for only two seasons. The theme song from Olivia was an absolute banger. And of course, love her in Cruel Summer, not interested in watching the second season because she's not in it
@@K0m30ng I Didn't Do It was after my teenage years so I never watch it. But she has this really good song called Distance
@@NeonIn3D I'm 28 and have seen all 4🤣 but understandable.
I absolutely love Shipka’s voice it’s so euphonious.
*"Euphonious?"* Bragging about private school?
Bro j learned that word yesterday and wanted an excuse to use it so bad
@@UncleFjesterTell me you have a chip on your shoulder without telling me you have a chip on your shoulder. Guy could have learned that word in a million different ways.
@@UncleFjester
Don’t hate because you wasted an education. There’s still community college😂
I really like her voice too. She’s come a long way since she was the little girl on Madmen. She has authority in her voice.
Kiernan Shipka, Olivia Holt and freakin Julie Bowen in the same movie?? I'm here for it!
Я их вообще не знаю. Ну, как фильм, смотреть можно?
I love Kiernan Shipka, Olivia Holt, and Julie Bowen and as soon as I saw the trailer I knew the movie would be great!!!
"Was that bite of 87!?!" -Malkiplier
HELL YEAH!! an 80's themed horror comedy with Sabrina!!
Just go back and watch all the ACTUAL 80's horror films. You'll thank me.
@@mclare71 FIGHT ME!!
This is so cool!. Being born in 1997 and two parents who were both aged 20 in 1987, the time difference and era is spot on.
Kiernan and spooky season go perfect together!!!!
Kiernan and spooky season go perfect together!!!!
yess especially when she’s been sabrina spellman
gotta love Ms. Shipka, so sad her acting prowess hasn't been fully recognized when she's been a great actress since being a kid!
This was a cool movie. As an 80s refugee myself there was a lot of nostalgia. A genZ takes her neuroses back to the 80s. Makes me realise how much better people were back then. However, I can overlook this because the film was a lot of fun and I really liked the protaganist! 😎
Yes, I can tell you were from the 80's...
80s were an awesome decade, awesome to the max! That stuff should totally be brought back, except for the homophobia, and the bullying. Good part of my life back then was just like a John Hughs movie
Kiernan has the “and what” vibe I love it she represents our generation well
Olivia Holt perfectly fits the 80s hairstyle, she looked so gorgeous, I can't stop simping on her
I love that she says "It's not 1987 anymore!" while wearing the f**king fringe leather jacket from 'Cant' Buy Me Love.' Well played, gents...
So good
There was one in Ferris Bueller, too. They were EVERYWHERE.
Honestly didn’t expect this to be half decent but it was great
Meeting a younger version of your parent who is completely different. Never gets old! 😉
GIVE KIERNAN MORE MOVIES, SHE'S A STAR
don't worry, she's getting there
I missed Kieran so much, I wish we could get next season of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina. 😢
Same :/
This movie is totally worth of a theatrical release
This feels like the end of a killer spiritual trilogy of hight concept horror slasher comedies starring an up and coming blonde young actress.
Happy Death Day (2017)
Freaky (2020)
Totally Killer (2023)
I'm totally down to get it one of this every 3 years
You forgot the sequel Happy Death Day 2 U
We need a horror version of Big or 13 going on 30 lol
If you like these movies also watch The Babysitter, The final girls, Tragedy girls, CAM, Better Watch Out, The Hunt, Ready or Not,The kid detective, Fear Street Triology.
Also back to the future which is a sci-fi comedy film
Why are kids nowadays so obsessed with the decade of my youth? I don't remember ever being crazy about the 60's
There's a bunch of movies and shows related to the 50's and 70's though. What are the 60's trying to hide?
Huh? Did you miss the 90s…. It was full of 60s memberberries
@@alejandromolinac Obviously there were inspirations, but the 90s had its own culture. Any video I see from then is blatantly 90s
It looks like a poor man's Happy Death Day crossed with The Final Girls but you know I'll still watch the hell out of it
Happy Death Day, Freaky, and now this. I just know this is gonna be so good and entertaining, I literally can’t wait to watch it😭
So they’re just taking Groundhog Day, Freaky Friday and now Back to the Future and putting a comedic horror spin on them. I wonder which movie will be next to get this treatment?
I just comment the same thing, those are all really fun films!
Really fun movie. The main character she's really good, she's actually a funny actress.
Love the 80's vibe so I couldn't stop watching it and the mistery and the suspense was good too. It felt a bit like Scream but with some laughs in it.
It seemed like a mix of 'Back to the Future' and 'Scream'. Both movies were given a nod during the film as well.
This was totally worth it . Am not a sci-fi time travel girly but mixing the thriller aspect and time travel was really impressive
It’s cool to see Olivia and Kiernan in a movie together
This could be fun. Looks like it might be the best Blumhouse movie Prime has acquired (out of the past 8 - Although, The Manor was ok). Will definitely check it out.
0:35 Giving happy death day vibes.
From the creator of 'Don't Trust The B In Apt 23'?? HELL YEAH! I'll be watching.
That was SUCH a great show! 😂
What a difference 10 years make…. Don’t Trust is edgy, irreverent and sexy….. this garbage is current year “OMG TISMS”
Didn't know Happy Death Day was getting a prequel.
I hope there will be three parts like back in the future... Love it. 10/10
I just watched this and it was so good! Such a fun and entertaining movie. It made me laugh at some parts too, and emotional at the end. Such a good fun enjoyable horror comedy
It was good gave me happy death day vibes not as good but still solid fun.
@@El.Sasquatcho69 Yes it reminded me of Happy death day and Freaky, I love those movies too
SAME! It was a perfect balance of thriller, time capsule, horror homage, true crime, and comedy!
Who was the killer?
DUDE, HELL YEAH!! I LOVE THE 80'S THEMED MOVIES! 🤘🏻💙🤘🏻
“Jesus, mom…macita” “ay, ay, ay…mamacita” 😂 Quick thinking. 😂
Should have been theatrically released!
Would be kind of weird to be in theaters considering this comes from the Blumhouse Television division and not the Blumhouse Productions division (theatrical film side not the overarching corporate entity of the same name)
@@andrewpearson2131 But it's not a tv show...it's a movie bro 🤦😂
So are the Movies of the Week that air/used to air on the broadcast networks, but no one wanted those to go to theaters. Sometimes Television divisions make feature length product, does not mean it should go theatrical
@@andrewpearson2131 Well, they made a mistake with this one. Looks theatrical quality to me, a lot of these Amazon originals do end up getting theatrical releases down the road anyways. Either way it's not that deep bro.
Kiernan Shipka in an 80s sci-fi slasher? Yes, please.
Watch it, its good
As a Screen Junkies and Schmoedown fan, it did my heart good seeing Sasha Perl-Raver’s name at the end. Way to go, this looks like a fun time!
This looks super fun! Funny and scary! I love the 80s! Awesome mashup of ideas! Cannot wait!
Just watched it. It is absolutely brilliant
Blumhouse's got the horror comedy formula down 😆
"I hate time travel movies, they never make any sense" Hilarious! Looks like a good movie.
0:02 I thought She Was McKenna Grace for a second I was about to say did she get Older?! I guess McKenna Grace And Kiernan Shipka really do look alike
Funny enough Mckenna played a younger version of Kiernan on her show Chilling adventures of Sabrina on netflix lol so yes the similarities are definitely there
@@Cool_beansmh They should play in more movies together
"The 80s are almost over and I haven't even tried coke yet." 😂😂😂😂😂
Just saw this a minute ago not gonna lie its one of the best horror/comedy movies I've seen so far really enjoyed watching it❤️
Same, its not boring at all, its really funny as well
Who ever out this trailer together needs a slap. I know trailers spoil their movies but this is way beyond with showing the characters die
I'll watch anything with Kiernan Shipka in it
this looks like its going to be a great movie not only becouce it is staring kiernan shipka, but also becouce it takes place in the 80s so you know that this is going to be interesting
A comedy slasher film with time travel?..... I'M IN!!!!!
'Yeah, lets not make that the lesson...' Awesome.. Loved Kiernan in Sabrina..
Kiernan Shipka and Olivia Holt .... amazing!
Anyone know any other similar movies to this?
Yeah, it's called "Happy Death Day" part 1 and 2, and it's 100 times better than this movie.
Props to the editors for making this trailer much better than the movie actually is
This movie perfectly illustrated how today's generation is a bunch of easily offended snowflakes.
this looks AWESOME anyone remember the movie final girls? Definitely reminds me of this!
Definitely, with it being self-aware, somewhat comedic, and having the mother-daughter plot. I enjoyed The Final Girls and I have a feeling I'll enjoy this.
Me thinking I used to have a coat like that with matching boots back in the day. Lol. This looks fun. Definitely will watch.
Isn't this premise basically The Final Girls? That movie was extremely underrated.
JUST WATCHED IT AND I REALLY WISHED IT WAS A SERIES
That's cool that Jim from The Office is in this.
Kiernan shipka's all WTF! moments was hilarious 😂 and her sound varition and expression at those moments are ❤ loveble and at same time funny as hell .😂
The 80s decade was a blast
I love Kiernan Shipka!
"Ay, ya yai, yai, mamasita". I need see this, right now!
Its really funny lol
It kinda reminds me of the Movie's The Final Girl(2015) and Happy Death Day(2017) time travel killer theme.
GYM CLASS WAS EPIC! 😂
mixing horror and sci-fi always works in my book
Just watched it. They nailed it IMO
Love the Max Headroom mask on the killer. Fun nod to the 80s.
This looks so good to watch and entertainment if you like the feeling of retro mixed with slashers mixed with happy death day and freaky !! Definitely watching
"I need to stop all this horror before it happens..."
....That ship sailed the moment she traveled back to the 80s
1:55 QUINN BAILEY FROM SCREAM 6 OMG
One of the best openings in a WHILE!
It's weird that it's not Christopher Landon's movie.
Basically Happy Death Day in 1987😂
This movie is a blast. Kiernan Shipka is so cute and funny, the casting of the young/old versions of the characters were so accurate and well done, it was wholesome, fun, engaging, and a perfect October watch.
A blast? It was incredible but I'm literally sobbing rn (just finished it) the casting was incredible but I feel sick after watching it. 10/10
Didn't even need to finish the whole trailer, already know I'm for sure gonna watch this
Its so good
This looks great! The only issue I had with the trailer was when the daughter said, "Your friends were murdered 35 years ago." off-camera, as it showed pics of the victims. But the daughter's and mom's voiced sound so similar, I thought it was the mother who said it, which would put Kiernan Shipka's character in her 50s, and her mom at least in her 70s. So I watched the entire trailer thinking that they didn't even try to make the daughter look even remotely older than she is, and did a terrible job making the mom look like she's in her 70s. Now that I've watched it again, it makes complete sense and is definitely a movie I want to watch.
I picked up on that too. The trailer didnt do the movie justice.
Who cares about a serial killer, that photo-booth has the power of time travel.
Gives me modern day Back To The Future vides with a slice of horror mixed in sign me up.
Love that Matt Frewer did a cameo, at the end, as adult Lurch - thought it was fitting since, immediately, the killer reminded me of Max Headroom.
Now that was a cool movie. Love a good time travel flick with horror and comedy
This was actually unexpectedly good!!!
I am so excited for this movie ever since I heard about it. Guess I gotta get Prime now.
The Bikeriders from 1965,Totally Killer from 1987...hell yeah, gotta be one of my fav years (2023)
Watch The Final Girls if you want to see this concept done. I don't understand Blumhouse. They say they can't justify making Happy Death Day 3, so they go and make another time traveling 80's slasher send up that steals the entire plot/concept of another movie.
The thing about _The Final Girls_ is that the protagonist didn't travel back in time to meet a younger version of her (still alive in the present) mom. Instead, she magically entered a movie where her deceased mom had a role.
This concept is back to the future meets horror. Happy death day is groundhogs day meets horror. Different concepts and also no similarities to The Final Girls. Ive seen all the movies you referenced and none of them have a link. You are definitely reaching.
Lol, I've seen them all as well which is why I came here to comment. It is a near identical concept, borrowing ideas from all of the above-mentioned films within the same framework as The Final Girls.@@Cool_beansmh
Death day 2 was pushing it a 3rd would just lead into Government conspiracy stuff kinda like the 2nd but further which I am sure nobody is asking for.
*Whoever reading this. Don't give up. Hustle everyday.*
If it’s as good as The Final Girls then I’m interested
Kiernan is so gorgeous
This movie is already been made. The one with Vera Farmiga‘s little sister. I forget her name.
The final girls
Nice to see after all these years, Mrs. Claire Dunphy's obsession with Halloween never changed.
I'm living for this cast! Can't wait to see this one
This is basically like Happy Death Day... 19- something creep street something- And Final Girl.
Loved this film. Smart and hilarious.
Every "Blumhouse" movie is fun bad & I'm all for that! I love fun bad movies.👍
Great 🎉 Blumhouse has done it again another great movie 🎥
Starring Kiernan Shipka was all I needed to know. 🙂
1:00 Cocaine Bear!
kiernan looks so good in anything lmao
Kiernan Shipka! Let's go.
