As long as you put it in your PATH, it should work from vs code as well. Try closing vs code and reopening it. Also I use a powershell terminal in vs code. Hope that helps

I open a new terminal (within vscode) and type terraform it doesn't work. But when i open a terminal in powershell and type it it does work.
