ASTD Devs: delays final update, drops vague trailer for new game, does not elaborate, no codes. AWTD Devs: delays one update to merge into another update, drops trailer beyond words to describe peak, elaborates with community, the federal reserve of codes. As an ASTD vet who only lived on astd and nothing else but astd. I have been enjoying my time on AWTD and with the community that resides within it. I can safely say that AWTD is the only game that neither AA or ALS can do to fill in the void. A game so incentivizing that it’s actually free2play deserves my money when they drop shit in the shop because there’s hardly anything in the shop, it’s a game actually full of content. It’s right there, nothing holding you back from being able to skip all of story in just one raid, it’s right there. The devs know what they’re doing with this game and I am so proud I found it.
I've not played ASTD so not sure but every other TD game is money hungry with their event currency and trait reroll bundles. You can buy them in AWTD but they make them really expensive to discourage p2w. But other than that they literally hate money and one thing that made me just respect the devs was what one of the co-owners Galaxy said in response to some guy saying AWTD is not competing with AV, ALS etc is that "Our goal is not to compete but to at least make our players enjoy" which you can really see by playing and glazers of the game (me).

Praying they add some qol, the game would benefit a lot from it and I think it would make the game a little bit more new player friendly. AWTD is one of few games that has high quality and lots of passion put into it but the player count doesn’t show it so ppl don’t show interest in it 😔

There are so many amazing series getting added and expanded in this update. Gurren Lagann, Persona, DBZ, JJBA, Bleach, JJK, even RWBY My only complaints would really just be that my 2 fav series (Undead Unluck and Record Of Ragnarok) aren't getting any adds as far as we have seen. And a surprising lack of any Solo Levelling units considering Season 2 just started. But like. This is already gonna be content overload. I'm not exactly worried lmao.
The only thing that I need for this game is 3 units from like| wonder of u/funny valentine/ the world over heaven/ but im greatful for this update i hope after this update maybe like a month or week they can update a small update 😊
I don’t like it when they do this personally because it feels like it’s too many characters that get a chance to shine by themselves taken away if you get what I mean and I kinda feel overwhelmed with the amount of characters they’re adding they said that’s not even half in the discord because I kind of feel some of these characters are from lesser animes that you really would like to see people get to know about and give them their own time to shine, but they won’t get that because not every single one of these character characters can be OP
The update is split into 3 parts so it's not like 70+ units thrown into your face when the update drops. They do need some hype characters or nobody will play like I've seen people on discord asking how to get started because of Gilgamesh, Gojo, Meguna and Simon. That being said as long as they make the character some what useful and unique they will shine, which they usually do if they like the series (possible reason why dbz update was just okay because Galaxy didn't work on it since he doesn't like DB or OP).
