To me , why risk 100-120 m on neves when we can spend 40-45 m on ederson and he’s a gem , I don’t get the risk to spending that much
Or 25 mill on fofana or 55 mil on Ugarte. Still Neves is an otherworldly talent
The money only becomes a factor if the player flops.
If we have the cash and he’s who we want it’s a good buy. If he flops we will find out later then we can say it was a waste.

I think they should put all there eggs in neco Williams basket, pay him what he wants. I don’t care what anyone says, we are lacking in attacking play. Salah is getting old, Darwin needs a year or 2 more before he settles with how English football is played, Jota is a squad player, nothing more, so really the only solid forward we have going into next season is Diaz & Gakpo and Diaz is probably leaving if Barca or another big club came forward. I’d argue we need to prioritise attacking players over midfield and defenders, look at the squad, we have Macca, jones, Elliot, endo, sobaztsli, gravenberch, bajetic, possibly Trent, Clark…..like we don’t need anymore midfielders… instead of spending money, train up gravenberch, bajetic and Trent to all be solid number 6.

We've had so many wonder-kids on our books. Most never make it. That's just the way it goes. Anyone remember them all. I'll start with Jordan Ibo -- better than Sterling, as I recall.

Ugarte of PSV would be a fraction of the Neves price and would be just as good an option. Players used to massive wages like Nico Williams will never be at Liverpool it`s just not how we do things. Age profile between 20/25 with a price tag of up to €55 million and then follow the data within those parameters. I know VVD and Allison cost more but they are the exception not the rule. If we generate more cash through sales then maybe we will spend a bit more but other than that I just don`t see it happening.
This kid is gonna be a monster. I’m not gonna hate on stealing a young stud. We did the same getting Harvey for basically nothing. Hate FSG when appropriate guys, not just cus it’s easy.

People shouting for transfers when Arne hasn’t even worked with the full squad yet. How will he know who will a slot into his system . U want wing backs while under his system robo and Trent are already perfect. U want a defensive mid while endo and bajetic are still available u want forwards while salah is still in contract. Diaz and Nunez can be be amazing under him. For me give the manager this window to work with the squad and by January we will know where we need strengthening. Virgil /konate/quansah/gomez / along with two three top academy players in the backup available. Arne works and builds youngsters with low budget so let him cook first

What makes you think Bajcetic will be available or even good enough, he only played a handful of games and then was out for a full season. Endo is ok but getting on so we definitely need cover there. We have lost Matip, VVD is 33, Quansah is young and Gomez and Konate are both injury prone so we definitely need a CB. Mo is aging and not tracking back as much, Nunez couldn't hit the proverbial barn door, Jota is always injured and Diaz seemingly isn't content... We need a goal scorer and someone to play RW if Salah is injured or goes. The squad needs strengthened. We will see if Slot can replicate Klopp's shoe string success
