he is definitely underrated, his music is pure art.
Catharina H that's funny! ..cos literally millions follow his music. And there's always someone in comment section with the 'underrated' ns. And if by 'underrated' you mean not as popular as the artists on tv/billboard now-a-days then remember people will forget about them in less than 2yrs. I can vaguely remember quite a few artists who were popular in last few years but now they're nowhere to be seen. No one remembers that kind of music. But music of artists like James Blunt(not underrated) will live on forever. Heck I've been listening to his music for a long long time. And he's gotten better and better like a wine over the years.
Sumrit Chamber sorry I didn't ment it in a bad way, but I don't hear his music in the radio, I can only listen to it here on UA-cam. :)

Radio here used to be fantastic. Often local music groups would knock on a local radio station's door, chat with a DJ, hand him what at that time was a record of theirs (a demo), and often got local air play out of the encounter. The song/group then spread via word of mouth, and from there to the next nearest city, eventually reaching all the way across the USA. But that all that began to change a couple of decades back when a couple of major corporations (utterly unrelated to music) began to purchase nearly all the radio stations across the US. So, literally, nearly all stations across this expansive country are owned by only two corporations, which has destroyed the role that radio used to play in the world of music. The range of tunes played at anyone of them in the course of a day is so narrow, repetitive, and utterly without any sense of musical curiosity, that I finally had to just give up on radio for music. I turned it off one day and stopped looking back. And that was a shame, as music and radio had both been pivotal to me throughout my entire life. I found myself with no way of finding good new music and artists. UA-cam is great, but an utter crap shoot when it comes to stumbling upon the best musicians out there today. And we know that they're there, but these corporate radio stations have a stranglehold on what is introduced to the American public in terms of music. Also, sadly and simultaneously ballads seemed to disappear from the music ethos, right along with gorgeous harmonies. I'm a total music lover, and always have been. Dated a musician all through uni (who got us free, and amazing weekly seats at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concerts, as he was studying violin under the assistant concertmaster), and married another later. (But never was I even vaguely a groupie). Music is just central to my life, so the loss of good music radio was seismic to me.
Apologies for the epic length post. I just feel so fervently about the steady dumbing down of radio in the US.
