hey thanks so much for this tutorial. I'm ashamed to say that Ive been a landscape architect for years and never knew how to do this command properly. Thank you kindly for enlightening me in a clear and easy way to follow. I have saved your video so I can go back and watch it again - in case i forget how to do this. Many thanks!
Hi Rita, I am very glad to hear that my video was helpful! If there are any specific topics that you would also like to see on the channel, then please let me know. Thank you for your support 🙏
aoa sir Your Videos is very helpful. kindly make a video for text rotation i mean when after rotating the drawing i want to draw a xy on drawing on some different point but when i draw xy coordinate text rotation was not shown in 0 angle or aligned with line is it possible to draw coordinate or xy text on line alignment at any point.
I think I know what you mean, this can be fixed by using UCS and setting it back to world. Because text and objects will always have to come at rotation 0 so if the UCS is changed the rotation will try to follow the X axis.
Hi, it's interl core i76700k (I think it's 7th gen) 16gb Ram, Gpu gtx1050ti and running on m.2 drive, I would not recommend it for daily autocad though. For one offs it's does the job.
Great video. However, I am having unexpected issues with my UCS. Original problem is that the custom named UCS's suddenly stopped working properly. For instance, I would change my UCS to a specific named one, but the coordinates would be wrong and the 'top' view cube was not consistent with the compass. Also, when I followed your instructions for Plan>Current then changed back to world, it changed the view back to WCS instead of just the coordinates so that I could keep my current view. I have tried so many things to fix this and I am lost. Not sure if it has anything to do with a lisp routine I imported in order to copy multiple named UCS's, but it worked fine for a week then everything went wonky. Any help would be fantastic and much appreciated!
Hi Dawn, not sure what the exact issue is. But few things that might help, to revert to the original UCS you need to type UCS>World. The plan current command only rotates the drawing so that the x and y axis are in the "traditional" locations (horizontal and vertical) maybe if you could drop me an email and have a look I might be able to assist further.
Did not know about this command, that is helpful! Also setting a ucs can come in handy later when you import predefined blocks or text and comes to the right orientation.
Im just old school. I put all my non point label text in paper space as well. Then when eveything is complete. I use the chspace command to drop everthing into model. Not perfect. But it works for me
so many unnessecary steps when you can just rotate your vport in paper space . model space should always reflect the real world coordinates and rotation. meaning north up. vports are a better and much easier way. vport are there for production purposes. In other words this application is not the correct way!
Oh you are correct and wrong at the same time. This is application is useful as when you start importing text blocks etc the rotation is set correctly and readable to you and you can switch between the two ucs and see avoid switching between model and paperspace. Just because you don't use it doesn't mean it's wrong.
Also there is no rule that model space should always reflect true north. We just made that rule up just so our workflow will become easier between different consultancies
Awesome vid till this day rotating viewport is still my weakness
Glad you liked it! Hopefully no more rotating viewports.
So is mine 😒
Hopefully not anymore.

I want to make Lo-Fi soft and today i started to soft soft tutorials. I see that you are teacNice tutorialng us very carefully and simple, i like that
I stopped using UCS many many years ago and prefer using mvsetup or dview. Much easier and no concerns of altered coordinates. Cheers!
I will look into it! Never tried these commands! If I like it and make a video, will give you a shout out! Thanks
There are many other uses for UCS than rotating the view.
DVIEW is easier when we have many viewports to be rotated in different angles..
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!
You saved my day. A very precise and clear explanation
Glad it helped!
Very Useful and clear explanation . Thanks and it's help a lot.
Glad to hear that!
Very helpful, thank you!

I wonder what is your computer spec, since like very smooth. Mind to share ??

Great Video!! I was wondering what version of soft soft you recomnd for a beginner because I know there is a $99 bundle and a
Student software license should be free, best to check with your university.
If i just finished my work and save, the format is .softp , is tNice tutorials type of file compatible with other DAW? like ableton or LogicProX for
Thanks for the video. 👏
Happy to help!
Very informative video sir 👏👌👌
Thank you!
how did you import the north block?
Hi, the north block was imported by a custom command that I created. It is not an AutoCAD feature.
How do you get RIVER and Drainage tabs, which addon do you use? Thnx!
I do not remember, maybe its a HECRAS plugin???
Thanks so much for tNice tutorials ssage

@@CivilTechSource Thanks, email sent.
Amazing video ☺
Thank you!
It goes above my head😊 you need to explain more easy way for me
It is difficult to grasp, it took me couple of days to get my head around this one. Maybe some google search for written content would help?
it was great sir
Thanks!
wow what a brilliant video, you explain things so well!
Now.. how do I do this with a 3d view!? D:
I would imagine you just have to start the UCS command while in a 3D view and not in 2D view. Never tried it.
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Excellent vidoe
Thank you! Will try and make the tutorials you have requested. Otherwise if you have any urgent questions, you can use the websites forum.
nice content
Thank you!
Thanks.
You're welcome!
thanks brother
Any time
I just use align to space in paper view. Model space never changes
Did not know about this command, that is helpful! Also setting a ucs can come in handy later when you import predefined blocks or text and comes to the right orientation.

I still sometimes do that for construction details.
thanks
No problem!
Thanks!!!
No problem.
I have mp3 format s and i want to make it puncNice tutorialer plzz help buddy
? What do you mean mp3?
help my work
?
you typing fast, and make it hard to follow the steps, you doing good job, but when doing some commands, you need to go slower
Sorry the commands are so quick because I am using a super amazing mouse! Will make a video about it soon. Thank you for the feedback
the background music is distracting from the content
Thanks for the feedback! Will make sure that I reduce the volume or even remove the music.
