Mikal is damn near a complete player. Two-way, three level scorer, super solid three shooter, can play on and off ball, great iq + perception of the game, only thing holding him back was his usage
Mikal Bridges in 56 Games last season for the Phoenix Suns averaged 17.2 Points,46.3% Field Goals,4.3 Rebounds, and 3.6 Assists Mikal Bridges in 27 Games last season for the Brooklyn Nets averaged 26.1 Points,47.5% Field Goals,4.5 Rebounds, and 2.7 Assists
Great jump shooter from the whole halfcourt, great finisher, and elite defense. This dude is gonna be a two-way star in the future. This trade unleashed and will still unleash his potential! ❤️🏀🔥
I know this is just some of his highlights but part of why the Nets didn’t trade him for 4 first round picks before he officially played for them and why he’s pretty much now untouchable.
i watched mikal bridges last night for the fiba world cup and lemme tell you hes got a bright future ahead for him, the energy he brings to his team is so helpful. his defense is amazing for a two way player and his ability to create shots and find his spot around the court is crazy. very skilled player
They’ll see when he’s 26-4-4 on 38+% in the 2023-24 season which is what he was for us already 😂 We add a superstar like Dame, SGA or Murray with a fixed Ben Simmons 16-8-8 and a true big to the Nets…they’re a contender again without all the diva drama bs!!
The Knicks organization realized it. Even with the Knicks giving up all those draft picks for him, this trade will still go down as a steal for them when it's all said and done 🔥🔥🔥
Mikal Bridges was always good , just that he never got the chance to shine in Phoenix. I think if he gets another all star in Brooklyn they can make it far in the playoffs. In all reality I think they could have gotten one or two more games on the sixers
Still think that Durant trade was dumb for the suns. Could’ve had Bridges who is above average for the next 10 years. He’ll prob make a few all star teams and he was a great fit next to Booker. Might get 2 more good years from Durant.
The trade helps Booker become a better player and still have the Suns a contending team. Not a dumb trade for either side. Suns are going all in to win now which is necessary
We want bridges back man suns knew he was gonna be elite that’s why the KD trade took forever suns never wanted to give up bridges but ultimately nets were smart to take Mikal over Ayton
Yea he has to become an all star first which is pretty much a lock next season but what he’s shown his absolutely incredible. You would expect his production to increase when he was traded to the Nets and his scoring to go up. It did. Scoring over 25 ppg, and nearly 5 rebounds 5 assists with elite defense. Not only did his scoring and production going up his efficiency went up too which is wild. That’s why this guy is going to be super special IMO. Plus he doesn’t miss games and I hope that continues. (knock on wood).
50/40/90 over his first 23 games with the Nets which is a large sample size, it’s not a fluke and you can see in his game why that’s sustainable and I expect an even bigger leap next season.
He is, obviously not as good right now (maybe never will be) but there are many similarities. I think he’s going to make an even bigger jump next year and surprise people even more. I commented there really are only a handful of 2 way 3 level scorers in the entire league. Kawhi, KD, Embid, JB on that list too and then Mikal. Even KD starting to struggle to put pressure on the rim. I do think out of everyone though although he doesn’t totally mirror Kawhi, that’s who he is most comparable to.
Man I hate this superteam era so much but I love how they’re all failing miserably.. Phoenix won’t win a title and it will be another failed superteam and hopefully GMs start trying to build teams through development and culture
Yea would love a compilation of Claxton’s defensive highlights, people don’t know how special Clax is defensively.
was snubbed on the all defensive team I thought maybe just some bias as a net fan
@@daquanbumbry8519Nah unfortunately the media attention commanded by KD and Kyrie disappeared as soon as they did😪Def deserved at least second team

I personally compare him to kevin Durant offensively, just those middy shots and dunks are so familiar

Mikal’s a FAST mf now that I think about it.

Mikal basically a baby KD
So cool seeing this dude thrive in the league when my first memory of him is winning a national championship right down the road from me.
Reminds me of Josh Howard from earlier Mavs days, wingspan for days, would bother big small everyone on defense.
Way better than I thought
Nice mid range game great cutter and can create for himself and others
The Knicks organization realized it. Even with the Knicks giving up all those draft picks for him, this trade will still go down as a steal for them when it's all said and done 🔥🔥🔥
I see “Championships”, in the near Knicks future.
They gonna see
The future looks bright with this man
I would love to have Bridges back on the Suns one day. We miss you Mikal!
Nah
@@aK67895 right, hell will freeze over before we give him back
He would average 12 points with all the scorers the suns have
Knicks!
Welcome to the NY Knicks
You should make a Nic Claxton highlight reel for 2023 sometime soon. By the way the video was very good.
Brooklyn Bridges! Future All-star and NBA Champion
Future NBA Champion with the Knicks
I miss this team! Even though they didnt win a chip. And still probably couldnt. but man they were fun to watch!

Will be a top player
1st time all star next season book it.
I understand he got traded for KD but at this stage of KD’s career I think it was a bad trade. I think the Nets got over on the suns.
I disagree. The trade helps Booker become a better player and Suns will have a good chance at winning it all with the right moves made for the roster
If the suns can get a ring its worth it, but mikal was the future.
We’ll obviously in the long run but trading for KD attracted Bradley Beal and now some ring chasers
You could tell he had talent he was just being held back by the suns
Facts
He still got off even with Booker and cp3 having the ball most of the time

Thank God he’s a Knick.

Don’t blame you
You now got an older KD who isn’t washed by any means but definitely is past his prime and can’t do nearly what he used to.
