Congratulations! That's a milestone! I have a good 6 month supplies, but I think lack sauces(condiments bbq sauce, sweet/sour sauce, etc.)
I have lotsa pasta and dehydrated powdered tomatoes to go with it. Also quite a few #10 cans of freeze dried potatoes. I actually just started using the dehydrated powdered tomatoes so I could learn how to make use of it, and will just get some more to replace it in the storage. Also got a 5 gallon bucket each of black beans/oats/rice. May never need. But peace of mind just knowing they're there if needed. Lots of other stuff, but I guess those are more my SRHTFH foods.

Potato Gems from Augason Farms are really good, we store and eat it often, though not all of their stuff is great. Augason Farms, Mountain House, Honeyville #10 cans make up a lot of what we store. Also store a lot of wheat berries, white rice, rolled oats, millet, pinto beans in 5 gallon buckets. I need to get more shorter term stuff like cans of chili, spam, tuna, etc.

Let me ask you this.. are you heavily trained in the field? Can you confidently run any weapon handed to you; use any first aid tools, do you have impressive hunting techniques and skills, are you heavily trained in hand to hand combat? Don’t just think about food guys!

in general , any single-ingredient long term stored food is going to be overpriced compared to buying in bulk and packing yourself.

maybe, hadn't thought about it. I don't see them as being automatically related in any direct sense. It depends on the type of SHTF scenario

water storage in barrels, and a swimming pool.
Don't forget tons of freeze dried instant coffee.. cheap shite, nothing fancy... use that to trade for nice food after SHTF. $50 worth of coffee could be traded for a LOT of food, worth many hundreds (in todays money).

yeah I would ration somewhere around there in a major event. I use 2k in calculations so just to factor in some shrinkage, and makes the calculations easier.
But where’s your defense? What’s stopping someone from taking your 1.8m calories? Prepper needs GUNS
