Oren Ambarchi Oren Ambarchi.s work focuses on expanding the sonic possibilities of the electric guitar: By using of a unique assortment of electronic effect pedals he transforms the instrument into an extraordinary landscape of shifting harmonics and resonances. Ambarchi has toured extensively and has numerous releases on many influential international labels such as Touch,
Southern Lord & Tzadik. His solo releases "Suspension" and "Grapes From The Estate" have transcended the guitar into a zone of alien beauty to critical acclaim. In 2003 his live release "Triste" received an 'honourary mention' in Prix Ars Electronica digital musics category. Ambarchi is also co-organiser of the What Is Music? Festival, Australia.s premier annual showcase of Local and
international experimental music. He has performed and recorded with Sunn 0))) (USA), Fennesz (Austria), Otomo Yoshihide (Japan), John Zorn USA), Voice Crack (Swiss), Keith Rowe (UK), Phill Niblock (USA), Evan Parker (UK) and many more.
