Just installed my rs7 plugs in the car and the car completely changed .. so much smoother haha.. rs3 coils worth it? Many people are on the fence to my knowledge about doing ignition coils since the stock coils are actually pretty great
@@DArias I did the rs7 spark plugs and rs3 coils at separate times and felt a nice difference with the rs3 coils. Mine could of been old and needed replacement.

The stock spark plugs dont like the heat that the tune creates, nothing to do with ethanol. In fact ethanol runs a bit colder than 93 gas it just has a higher octane rating. The other thing with Ethanol is you will also get poorer gas mileage using it. I'm surprised you hadnt done the plugs earlier actually.

Soo this is my take on it .. stage 1 e30 is the same or even a bit more powerful than stage 2 93 so you have it good rn.. only benefit from stage 2 is the fact you’ll need a downpipe which really shines at high rpms because the turbo has more room to breathe letting the power band last longer.. so in that sense it’s better and more fun BUT you have a great tune rn so it really depends if you wanna do a downpipe, plugs, intercooler etc .. if you do wanna go that route than the stage 2 e30 tune would absolutely be worth it because of the benefit of the bolt ons!

I rather just switch them out because I don’t wanna deal with possible misfires or cylinder knock .. plus the rs7 plugs aren’t too pricey either way and fcp euro has like time warranty on everything so 🤷🏽♂️
i recently found a cobb accesport for sale on offerup for 850 near my area with stage 1 and dsg. hesitant about getting it though i would if i was ready at the moment.
Make sure when you’re buying used that the transmission ID code is the same as your car or it won’t work.. unfortunately people don’t check sometimes and spend the money on the AP to realize the transmission id code is different and won’t work so you need to pay the $400 to unlock it.. now if that AP with stage 1 and the trans Id is correct then that is a great deal because that same package is about $1200 new
You can probably put a gallon or 2 without issues. I don’t recommend doing a full e30 mix though without the proper tuning. Ethanol is a bit different so a proper tune is necessary. Usually different afr targets boost targets timing etc.

Soo when you buy the tune through them you have to select all your options .. so the accessport is about $700.. the dsg tune is $400 for the unlock and use of it (def worth it) and then the ecu tune depending which one you choose is $175 so you’re looking at about $1300ishh but they made be running some sales rn to make it cheaper which is possible .. if you’re going stage 1 then dsg tune isn’t required but stage 2 and above is absolutely required of your trans will give out

Ok, so basically at least what’s work for me is 4-4.5 gallons of e85 and the rest 93 and that puts my car around e29-e32 which is perfect.. now yes I suggest before uploading the tune you run your as low as possible and when you go to the pump do your mix there. I also suggest you use an e85 calculator theyre free on the App Store to calculate. An ethanol sensor is highly recommended so you know how much e is in your system. If you’re too low it can throw the tune off and the car to run badly or if you put too much you risk ruining the pump or have very bad fuel cut because the stock HPFP can’t handle much more than e30

That’s a tough choice tbh.. if you’re looking into modifying both I feel the s3 is better just because there’s bigger aftermarket support for the MQB platform but the s5 is a gorgeous car and if you’re looking for a nice car that you can mod and have fun the s5 is great. I’m big in modifying so being the s3 has bigger aftermarket support and it’s simple to make power out of these 2.0s I chose that. All depends on your direction
Stock for stock the s5 is faster but once tuned they are very close.. only difference is the s3 it’s simple to slap a bigger turbo and make faster .. the s5 is tougher to make power after bolt ons and tune
All in all the s3 is easier to make more power but the s5 is a more luxurious car that’s quick.. again it’s tough comparing 2 cars that are similar in many ways haha except engine

They came with both adhesive and screws mark. I chose to use the screws as it felt more secure imo

Wait flex fuel sensor? I thought this platform especially on cobb have 0 flex fuel support and can only run straight blend tunes

Sooo the stock fuel system can support an e30 mix with no issues. If you want to go full e85 you would only need the HPFP internal
