We always spent the new year period at my in-laws place. The extended family all congregate there and eat and drink a plenty. My wife and I are always in bed for the stroke of midnight. We like the fireworks 😉😉😉

Christmas was quiet for us, but we went out with my dad on Christmas eve and had cheese and cold cut platters with lots and lots of wine. He was paying, so wine was doable.
