I'm not sure they did, hence the question mark, but I remember a couple of producers from a producer group I was in talking about the new versions being worse for Hardstyle kicks because they made changes to the algorithm. I can't seem to find anything about it online, though not many people besides us Hardstyle producers really care about the plugin, as for producers from other genres it's just another distortion plugin. So relevancy might be a reason why I can't find anything, or I am just wrong about the changes. Whatever the answer is, don't just take what I said above here as a truth, my comment was more intended as a question to seek confirmation about the clip distortion rumors than flat out stating it changed.
Can anyone tell me when distorting a 909. What pre filter should i use in my distortion plugin? I been using it fully open and having hard time creating good growl and crunch. Not sure if I have to use the pre filters a certain way or not?
Is this a FULL tutorial or will he take a sample (for example, for the punch/tok) he made earlier without showing us how he made it ? :P (saw that before in a hardstyle tutorial)
Joey07392 this is a tutorial building the kick from the ground up. He does layer in a sample near the end to add some texture but the primary sound is built up off of what you see in this sample video and continued through the duration of the tutorial using a series of distortion, equalization and resampling techniques.
@@rodneyc3202 depends on how you make the kick, you could focus the stereo image on higher frequencies early in the process to make sure there are no phasing issues in the lows, or you could high pass with a "side only " cut at the end, keeping only the mid information in there
With the price of everything regarding music production. I think its so out of order that we are asked to pay out so much to learn to make a kick. it is difficult enough, the world does NOT have to be so greedy and difficult.
tools don't come for free, bud. People work hard to make them. If you can't afford something, find a different way to make the sound you want. You aren't entitled to shit.
@@PONYBOYonline I agree frontliner spent years to learn this so its more than his right to not do this for free and he even made tutorials on his channel for free
I know it's frustrating at first, but it's about making your own sounds, grab any distortion, eq, reverb etc ( a tool to have control over mid/side) and make your own, experiment, it's really about distortion + eq, try to make the kick stereo above like 200hz, mono below that, try to layer an attack kick and a tail kick, it's actually not THAT hard to get a decent sound, a perfect one however... Haha
It’s not that hard. You just need a Kick, some eq, some distortion, some eq, some distortion, some eq, some distortion, some eq, some distortion, some eq……
I love old design of clip distorsion plugin.
Yep this one is so confusing ;)
Didn't they also change the distortion algorithm a while ago? Essentially getting rid of the iconic Hardstyle sound?
Did they? I would love to know if that's true or not?

I see. Well that is an interesting question raised and I hope they didn't change the algorithm!
Nobody uses Logic, why do you use the logic plugins -.-
Most hardstyle producers use logic for the kick...
This is so cool! Could you guys maybe invite Atmozfears to the studio?
We will see what we can do :)

All in all use a distortion to use a distortion because tommorow we'll use a distortion
2:00 how did he change it to a low pass that quickly?
He created the high pass filter by double clicking on the far left of the yellow line for the Pro Q2.
789TenDotCom holy shit thank you 🙏
With my kicks, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't....
Just got this sent by mail from you guys, but the video is almost 3 years old

dude why would you want your kick to by stereo??
Hardcore and hardstyle kicks are all stereo ( kind of), usually keeping the very low frequencies mono and above like 200hz stereo
@@lepureur4657 and we only put the low end to mono when working on a track not for making the kicks

In hardstyle/hardcore the kick fills up the majority of the mix so you want some stereo information in it.
It there a good alternative to the Fabfilter eq?
Worth to get it, really
@@lepureur4657 bruh it's ridiculusly overpriced
@@reallyryan_ still worth it, you wont get that quality out of a 20 € plugin

But UUUUHHH he knows how to makes kicks and UUUHHH he probably achieved more in life than you.

I can make it in sylenth1 without any effect
Tell me how without effects
no you can't
😂
uhhh
There's a pitch envelope at the sub part of the original kick from a G# to a G.
How could this possibly work with a hardstyle kick? O.o
Free stuff is nothing compared to professional
Hoi Nederlander
the kick was more of a hardcore kick but good job
