House Music originated out of the Disco movement of the 1970s and early 1980s. and House Music is a sound that is being bumped all over the East coast and Europe to this very day but sadly it is no longer the sound of Chicago! Like the rest of Black America the Rap culture of the South has taken over and sounds like Trap, Drill, and modern day R&B pervades the airwaves in Chicago and on radio stations in every city with a significant Black population! The incident with Fat Joe started with the internet by way of Tariq Nasheed and his FBA cult that has initiated a debate between Fat Joe, Busta Rhyme and the Latino & Caribbean communities on what community originally created Hip Hop. Busta & Fat Joe made some very disrespectful & miseducated statements towards the Black community and its contribution to Hip Hop which is really a dead artform in this day & time... Fat Joe has been doing shows in the city of Chicago back & forth since the 1990s and Fat Joe has never had a problem until now. not to mention Chicago has over a quarter million Puerto Ricans that call Chicago home so Fat Joe has always been received in that city way before any city outside of NYC. What we witnessed with Fat Joe's recent concert in Chicago is rooted in the FBA/Latino beef over who truly created Hip Hop! Not over Chicago's Black culture!
