I wouldn't say they suck, both series are good in their own right. DC shows like The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow can be a bit campy and Marvel series like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and my favorite Luke Cage can be semi-grounded and have great storylines and characters. Not every DC movie is trash, like the Dark Knight trilogy (I know not DCEU) and Shazam! Also a lot of their animated movies are leagues better (sadly) than Marvel's mediocre animated endeavors aside from Planet Hulk or Ultimate Avengers. I honestly love both they just have different strengths and weaknesses.

Interesting how Ralph mentioning how Barry went all "Thor son of Odin" on him, along with the actual battle between the two, shows that Ralph is not very resistant against Electricity. In the very scene Barry punches Ralph in the face, something Barry has already done prior with little effect. Yet this time Barry adds lightning to his fist which surges through Ralph, KO'ing him. Based on how Ralph responds with Barry going "Son of Odin" on him, helps to add to the notion that Ralph can can be beaten by electrical based moves. This might have something to do with the electricity impacting Ralph's forming due to its common effects to someones nerves and muscles. Allow such attacks to potentially by based his rubber durability, as seen when Barry defeated him with a punch.
I kind of like to imagine that these DC characters like to read the Marvel comics, and also watch the Marvel TV shows and movies in their spare time since they do all these references.
Fun Fact: Marvel and DC used to co-exist, there weren’t any avengers or justice league or stuff just plain heroes. They starting fighting a lot so Adam Warlock and Spectre decided to divide it. One kept all of the present day marvel heroes and villains and the other one all the DC ones. They didn’t choose they divided them randomly and not even equally. They erased their memories and put themselves in movies or shows so that only them two would remember and then for some reason people started remembering again.
