I have a doubt: "Mein hobby ist lesen" in this aussagesatz the verb position is third. However as per your previous video "satzstruktur" it should be second right?
1. Ja 2. Normally it's meine Freizeit, but with the preposition "in" it becomes " in meiner Freizeit". It's because of the "DATIV" which you will learn eventually.
Grüß Gott Inap! Ich lerne Deutsch mit dir und brauche deine Hilfe. Ich verstehee etwas nicht. While searching vocabulary about telling hobbies, I found that (actually it's not so much about telling hobbies :) The German-English dictionary says Piano spielen = to play the piano. So When I want to say I play the piano, is it ' Ich Piano spielen' in German? I think it must be 'Ich spiele Piano.' But why the dictionary says directly Piano spielen = to play the piano? but doesn't say spielen Piano =to play the piano I would be grateful if you could clear up my confusion. Auf Wiedersehen!
You are right "Ich spiele Piano." The dictionary is right too because it indicates "to play the piano = Piano spielen" which is in the main form (Infinitiv). But in the sentence we need to conjugate the verb according to the subject which is then on the second position. So, basically in the infinitive form ( that means the main form without conjugation) the noun comes first and the verb in "Infinitiv". Some more examples: to play football = Fußball spielen But let's say " Inap plays football." We need to conjugate the verb "spielen" and comes on the second position. "Inap spielt Fußball." Hope I could help you :).
@@DeutschmitInap Hmmm So in English we say 'to play Tennis ' (first infinitive verb and then noun) But in German is it the opposite (fist noun and then infinitive verb) Tennis spielen If my thoughts are right, why it is like that? 🤔 It makes people confused :) Servus!
