@@MrVuittonDon Odd, all the OE mirrors I've seen for the F2x/F3x generation of BMW have been clip on. If you go to RealOEM you'll see the diagram showing clip on style too. Or do your mirrors have a black border, and you pried the glass out of the black frame, but the frame is still clipped into the housing?

Dude I literally cracked my mirror today trying to replace the cover and have been debating all day whether to get these replacement mirrors or spend money on genuine ones. How are you liking these?
I like them! They don't offer as large of an increase in outward view as I was expecting, because the mirror housing itself actually gets in the way, but what they do allow you to do, is set the mirror so you can look straight back down the side of the car and maintain full outward visibility up to the mirror housing limitation. That's useful when using the mirror auto-tilt down feature to see the curb when parallel parking. Mine are genuine and were about $150 shipped off eBay. Even though they were "used" they were blemish free and the glass could've passed for new.
@@FaRKle0079 Yeah, the question is, why is this company on ebay selling Mirrors for F10s saying its for F10s and harness doesnt fit? Well it fits. But harness cant connect for heater. I will email and ask them about this.
@@Grssclub Hrm that is weird. Maybe there were different versions of the mirrors offered, kind of like how some have a connection for auto dimming and others don't.
Unfortunately, I didn't learn anything new. My new glass simply would not snap into all 4 tabs, most of them but not all. Pressing and pressing, eventually the glass cracked. I am blaming poor quality Chinese molds. That's my excuse. I have a new one on order again, I don't know what I will do if the new one doesn't clip on, maybe glue it? FYI, I put the old one back on easily, it clipped right in, so that's why I think it wasn't me.
Thank you! Used mirror and this video just saved me $300 over OEM and shop install!
Thank you so much! now I can replace my right mirror glass only and save the money
Great tutorial. I've been determined to make this change for a long time.
This is *THE MOST ENGİNEERED METHOD* I have watched 👍
Great video, did exactly as instructed and mirror came out without issue 👍🏼
Thanks for such a good video! 10/10 from London UK!
Very well explained video, helped a lot. Thanks!
Thank you for this video!!!
This video was super informative! Thank you. Subbed
question the two connectors on the top left of my mirror are like glued in place- yours just came off wondering if i should just force them out?

Did your mirror glass just separate from the plastic backer? Or do you have aftermarket mirrors?

I can’t find where to plug the wiring in as its all come off when a car hit my 2013 320d convertible
The wires in the mirror assembly should go down to the harness coming into the door from the body.
My wire connectors seem stuck and won't budge, any suggestions on removing them?
Did you ever find a solution to this?

The positive negative connectors can they go any way around ?
Probably since it's just a resistive heater.
Hey the link is no longer working, can you or anyone please put the new link for it.
Do you need to unplug battery for this
No need to disconnect the battery 😀

What's the "best" cost efficient replacement mirror for my x1 (2013)?
I'd probably look for used OE mirrors on ebay to get quality glass.
Where did you get those extended mirror glasses from?
I bought them off ebay, but cars245.com had the best prices when I bought the wide angle mirrors for my M2.
@@FaRKle0079 Hi, did you disconnect the contacts the same way at the M2?
