The Guy who replaced Dennis DeYoung was the perfect Replacement. I will say I saw Video of Dennis DeYoung Concert and his band sounded just as good. Like having 2 Styx Bands..
Not a fan of the scab playing part of Dennis. He’s a great artist but doesn’t do Dennis very well. Would love to hear deeper cuts from Tommy and JY. No Snowblind?
As someone who went to this concert, which I did, I can confirm that they do NOT suck. The guy they have is a fine replacement for Dennis, and they sounded awesome. Not to mention that they were the third act at this concert after both John Waite and Foreigner had already played a set list. Just because you're butt hurt that a band actually wanted to keep making new music and touring after losing a member doesn't mean you have to ruin a perfectly good comment section. After all, what a terrible world we would live in if bands didn't decide to keep going after losing a member, bands like AC/DC, Foreigner, and yes even Styx.
That is why I am glad, as old as I am was able to enjoy Styx in their prime At Three different concerts in los Angeles in 1977, 1979, and 1981 Grand Ilusion tour, Paradise Theater tour and Cornerstone Tour. Twice at the Long Beach arena and once at the Fabulous Forum on Manchester and Prarie in Inglewood California. Dennis DeYoung was there and it was magical.
@@bassinbillRC5300 I grew up in Chicago in the early 70's, have seen Styx a dozen times over the years, moved to outside Seattle a bunch of years ago bought tickets to a concert unknowing that Dennis was gone, the Gowan guy is a hack!
