I’m loving the style of how these episodes play out. Although almost every episode has a major fight scene, I’m enjoying the way they approach new dangers, very methodical
I like that even though they cut to the 3 armed men after the truck had gone (would have been a separate take) they put the small detail of the sound of the truck driving futher away.
Somehow i didn't catch on whilst watching but the Senator that Jack Reacher was talking to in the zoo watehouse was Noam Jenkins who voiced Aidan Pearce in Watch Dogs 1&3. He has such a distinguisable voice, I don't know how i did not recognise him.
I know I'm 'late to the party', but just had to say..I love it that y'all talk about framing of the shots. I'm a former TV professional (retired now), and I still say the best thing about TV going from 4x3 to 16x9 is that everybody could finally shoot a TV show like our brothers/sisters in 'film' would shoot a movie. I'll admit to being a 'format snob' - I don't want my 1940s movies stretched, and I hate my DVD copy of Carradine's old 1970s "Kung Fu" series because WB zoomed and cropped the footage (kind of a reverse letterbox?). But man..the modern (post hi-def) way of shooting TV is beautiful. I really think it gives the storytellers & performers a better 'canvas' for their work.
I really enjoy this show, my only issue is that after the recap, and the credits in 20 different languages with a full voice cast, each episode is barely 37 minutes long. It makes watching reactions entertaining because its like a supplemental, fix but another 5-10 minutes per episode would be nice from Amazon
I didn't watch it at first, but my husband did and LOVED it. When we saw the new Mission Impossible movie and saw that the guy who plays Reacher in it, I decided to watch it. Believe me, it's definitely one to binge watch!!
Neither Roscoe or Karla. Jack needs to meet Jodie (Garber’s daughter). In fact, she is probably the only one who understands Jack in and out (aside from members of the 110th). I hope Season 3 adapts The Visitor, Gone Tomorrow, The Hard Way, 61 Hours, or even Persuader. They are some of the best entries in the series.
I dont know why but my gut doesn’t trust O’Dennell yet and idk why. I hope hes clean but the way he was acting toward the group in the beginning i picked up on.

Mcneeely was a tech wiz last year, she can't use her phone this season. A wunderkind, the script previously told us. Can't figure it out herself ? Or call her company ? Nah, run thru the forest ?

I like the show but it seems more important to get it out fast than do it right. They were on set filming s3 before this season aired. Great. But they risk ruining what had a great foundation, hoping snappy one liners from he man, breaking bones is enough. Cool. Welcome back to the 80s. When the gaps in logic are so apparent (right from s2 e1) you stop watching and start looking for them.
I actually don’t think it’s Swan. I think it’s someone impersonating him. There’s too many obvious fingers being pointed at Swan. Just like the transporter guy killed the doctor and took his identity, I think something similar happened to Swan.

Those 'professional hitters' must have been absolute trash to have fixed positions like that and never ever hit anyone at all.
That whole "I know you, dude" part took me out of it a bit. Like bro, even if you're right, what's the ideal outcome there? You want a guitar update, a hug, a few extra dollars?! Such a needless interaction, read the fuddamuckin' room! 😅
This episode did some.....ahem...... reaching. One, there is no way a truck loaded with armaments would ever stop once under way and two, those pistol shots in the graveyard were totally unbelievable. I will give our heroes the benefit of the doubt most of the time but that was a bit much.
I've given some thought about why S2 feels less interesting than S1, and I think it's the setting. Rural GA in S1, with the blues track and unique townsfolk, felt like a unique story. S2 is good, but an action series set in NYC is going to look like 100 other action movies set in NYC. They couldn't have picked a worse place to set it. They should have left it in the desert around Las Vegas like in the book.
I feel Reacher s2 is worse than s1. What the Hell is that??? The main focus around what everything revolves are rockets that exit some janky warehouse with 1 driver and no escort! 650 missiles just drive away and the trucker stops at the first brokedown truck he sees on the road! What kind of a lame ass story are they pushing here? There os not much investigation needed! They found out who pulls the strings almost right away and since then they are just getting hit with wave after wave of assassins trying to kill them. But nobody does anything to stop the super obvious military problem of somebody selling rockets to terrorists. This show would have ended in episode 3 in the real world. And why would you throw dead bodies off a chopper anyways? You will get caught immediately. A body is found easily, raises a lot of suspicion. Once the autopsy reveals it was thrown from the sky someone will check all flights and guess what - your chopper is goimg to lead the police right to you. Its BS!!! You have a 1000 different better ways to get rid of someone. Instead they were waving the Come and get us flag. Really bad story. I dont know what everyone is so pumped about. Season 1 is way way better.
I don't really trust O'Donnell tbh. He's giving off some weird vibes that I feel like will end with him being an inside man. Like the phone call with "his kids" felt really weird.
