I think it’s definitely worth it. Another thing I’ve found beneficial which I don’t think I included in the video, was that it’s a great tool for job hunting. I spent about a month liking and retweeting jobs or positions that colleagues were announcing. Now the algorithm serves me up these type of posts all the time. Also useful if your looking for non academic jobs (I’ve tried it for both). 👍
Yeah it’s always hard to find synergistic minds that are also located close by. Have you tried hitting up your local startup scene? Preferably some science/ biotech related, but generalist could also be good (particularly if you want more of a business mind to balance out your science mind).
Thank you for the video. I am doing my M. A thesis, and it's based on Twitter data, but I am still kind of confused about the data, what I am doing to do? My purpose is to analyze people's ideas about the Taliban and women's rights in Afghanistan. Now, what methodology I am supposed to use for that? Thank you in advanced
Hi MR,How are you doing? I want to ask you , if you can share with me the api keys for twitter academic research account. I applied to twitter but they rejected me, i really need these keys, i have access to the limited version so it gives me just access to get tweets for a one week search. With academic research I can get access to full archives of tweets. But I want tweets from the beginning of this year from 01-01-2022 to 20-04-2022 so if you can help me I will appreciate this. Thanks for you Time
Nice! Sounds similar to me except instead of bum building more of a scicomn business (and looking to wrap up my wetlab work). What’s your plan with your lab at home- any particular focus? It reminds me of this book I read a few years ago called ‘bio hackers’. I imagine the field has significantly progressed since then!
Can you explain further what you mean by intellectually dishonest? If you’re referring to the opening statement in this video, it’s more about the use of Twitter to help expand your reach so that more scientists see it, ie, more aware of your paper and likely to cite it if relevant.
Great video :) I’ve never been one to use Twitter but I’ve considered it for academic purposes

I live in Southern Indiana
I followed you!!!
Want to know more I'll be making some videos in a couple days!!!
I'm really looking for someone close by that has the same interest as me or something better than my ideas 💡 🤔

I would prefer that they have some lab equipment of their own.
I've got about $4000 in lab equipment so far
I am building my own genetics lab at home I got 2 kids in a wife and I am trying to start my own business and I'm looking for business partners

Right from the start, it sounds intellectually dishonest. Can your own work can't speak for itself?
