This was inspirational. I have realised that animals are very important to our lives. He is right, we need to love animals because what you put in is what you get back. Fantastic interview.
I started my rescue of animals at age 8 ... and never stopped . A group of boys were pouring kerosene on a baby kitten and going to do a hideous thing they were standing over a sewer going to thrown her in after . I ran into the corner store and begged the owner to come out and help . He came out with a broom & chased them away . They dropped the kitten over the sewer hoping she would fall down . I grabbed her back leg and caught her before she slipped down . The store owner gave me a towel & we wrapped her soaked little body up & I carried her home . My heart was beating like crazy and tears falling down my cheeks . I told the awful story to my Mom . She said go clean the kitten up in the bathroom & put her in your room before your father comes home . So , I did just that . And fed her . She sleep so deeply next to me . Siggghhhh - Finally 💗 Safe .

This has stayed with me my entire life . And started me on all the animal rescues I have done . And feeding so many , too . A very rough rude . But my heart breaks for these poor discarded animals - 💜💗💜

I really enjoyed this. I especially liked your question at about 40 minutes in when you asked what was the human role in what's happening at the moment (sorry, I forget your exact words). As soon as you said it I realised that I've never heard anyone ask that before. The focus always seems to be on the human and human development and never seems to consider that maybe humans are not the centre of everything but are also here to serve. Thank you for that shift in perspective which is probably essential for our development.
