#1 Stand up#2squeeze the bike with your knees. #3 When going over choppy or rough terrain head over the bars leaned back but hinged at the waist with your ass back and let the bike move up and down don’t fight it with your arms, and elbows out. Imo
And, ALWAYS ease your way into the ride. Don’t jump on the bike and go in hero mode right away. Warm up a bit 👍🏻
The best thing that helped my arm pump was switching from 4T to 2T. I can be a bit lazier with clutch/throttle/body position, especially on off-throttle, even in more technical areas.
You need to be careful moving your weight forward away from the CG while accelerating. If you hit something like a stump or rock in a fast trail it could cause you to go forward and over the bars. Ask me how I know.
the position you presented with your knees in front of your toes and your hips in is the worst ever thing you can do riding .never seen anybody riding this way. yes you should be agressive to the front but not like that .that position doesnt exist in enduro riding .just try do it one handed and you will really quickly learn how bad it is.
Yes, it was exaggerated motions in an attempt to help people understand getting their body weight off their hands.
Sport rock climbing solves this issiue completly. In 5 years i got arm pump 10 times for a minute (out of at least 200 times). And i climbed 3 whole years before that
