Being an absolute novice and just bought the GoPro Hero 9 for future vlogging, this video is absolutely amazing ……. One question do you use the light filters on all modes ? And underwater settings please as in stuck in a shark tank …….. Thank you so much…….😘
It is pretty high, but in low light situations you don't have much of a choice but to increase ISO. 1600 is still better than 3200 or 6400, but it depends on your shooting conditions and ideal image quality.
I always learn something when watching one your videos. We have somewhat similar work flows so its easy for me to incorporate many of your setting's in to what your doing. I use the Hero 9 to make not only travel videos, but also to shoot B-Roll for drone channel. Great video, and thanks for sharing.
Have question can i use this seting for go pro 10 ? I see you use most on 4 k, can we use the same setting on all of them with 1080 p ? I am still learning and Thank you fkr thks video.
your videos really convinced me to get gopro 9. I did some shooting in the city but the results were not very good. Especially the sky on a sunny day made the sky glow and the buildings that were white also glowed. another UA-camr suggested turning down the exposure while others suggested getting an ND filter. Some suggested that ND filter will not correct the brightness captured by the gopro on a sunny day and will only slow the shutter speed. Could you please explain this? Thank you I appreciate any advice.
Both turning down the exposure and using an ND filter will help with shooting in sunny weather. ND filter explanation - ua-cam.com/video/44lYINWF0Mg/v-deo.html

@@Gemini_Connect It’s true. My wife commented on how easy it was to watch and understand the content. I’m older and just have shot video on a Sony HDR when the kids were little. Please consider doing a video on best settings, filters, and simple edits for folks filming their kids football or soccer games. I think you’d get a lot of interest from both old and young parents that want to share those moments with other family and friends. In any event, I will keep watching. Thx.

Great video! Shooting Cinematic and setting your camera speed let's say 60fps. How do you know which ND filter to use or is this a case of trial and error?
Two question, i use my GoPro H9 at my work, and i work in tunnel construction, do you have any tip on settings, all my videos is dark, and its almost impossible to bump it up in post production, (i am pretty much an amateur), and how to get rid of the blinking from led lights? The lights we have are modern led-lights and you get som kind of blinking from them, i guess it has something to do with framrate and the led-lights HZ number? Lasse
Two things affect darkness: ISO and shutterspeed. Try setting ISO Min to 100 and ISO Max to 3200, or even 6400. If that doesn't work, also set the shutterspeed to 1/120, and the resolution to 4K60fps. This will give you the best odds of shooting in low light, BUT if you tinkered with shutterspeed, your footage will be shaky, so I recommend using a gimbal (the Moza Mini P is my favorite for the Hero 9). The blinking LED lights are due to the light bulbs in your workspace. The only way to avoid this is to use a bigger camera like a Sony A7sIII.
Is there a way to have the camera make up for the lighting? My Google pixel records so much brighter and in focus. How can I get my Go Pro to mirror this?

Good question. We'll dive more into this topic in a future video. But yes, we save cinematic shooting for b-roll. It fuses pretty well with the rest of the vlogging footage.
Hi guys. I have found your videos to be extremely informative and easy to understand. I go back to them when I need to remember something I forgot that I had learned from you. Thank you❤️
My hero 10 has horrible footage since I got it. Tried so many settings. Jittery. Looks like 640 x 480. Objects jump around, trees appear and disappear. Etc. Slightest shadow makes the footage dark. Hunts for propper lighting, etc.
@@Gemini_Connect yeah, but if I keep the camera still in good lighting it acts mostly normal. Or the problems seem Intermittent. It's like the camera has no one setting, even for one situation. Everyone on youtube admits that going into the shade will cause the camera to start hunting for light. Moving the camera causes motion blur, etc. I don't know why gopro can't learn from basic cell phone tech. The only good gopro videos are on the gopro channel and at least 90 percent of those impressive videos are the editing. If you pause a regular gopro video you will see the blurry image and washed out colors. I think everyone has a situation like me but they don't really talk about it. Well, they do talk about settings a lot. There must be hundreds of videos of people trying to improve their settings and recommendations of settings because people aren't happy
Now to go in and see how to actually change all of these settings.

So I get there idea of travel but when you use the cinematic setting? Is mostly for the broll? Or do you integrate the cinematic with the travel? And how do you merge these 2 to gel? Thank you
Good question.
Thank you❤️
This was very helpful.. Thank you!!
My hero 10 has horrible footage since I got it. Tried so many settings. Jittery. Looks like 640 x 480. Objects jump around, trees appear and disappear. Etc.
Slightest shadow makes the footage dark. Hunts for propper lighting, etc.
That sounds wrong. Maybe return it send it for repair to get looked at
@@Gemini_Connect yeah, but if I keep the camera still in good lighting it acts mostly normal.
Thanks for the video on how to setup and record in GoPro
