Funfact about the roaming pokemon in Leaf Green / Fire Red - If the roaming pokemon uses roar to flee the battle, that pokemon encounter counts as complete and cannot be retriggered . MASSIVE oversight. Additionally, in later games if you knock a special pokemon out, theres usually a way of retriggering the fight (such as rebattling the elite 4).
Though, i guess we dont really have roaming pokemon any more as you actually see pokemon in the overworld. There arent really random encounters so to speak. Though there is an instance where you see one of the legendaries roadrunnering around the map and you chase after it on your bike

1:22:08 Yea that music is relm's theme - I've noticed that a few bars of the piece sound similar to FF8's eyes on me, and I forgot if celes says anything if you bring her along and she sees that picture in the previous rooms because I believe that painting is the part where she pretended to be an opera singer

I like to think that Deathgaze is Kefka's minion specifically tasked with hunting Espers (or other powerful magic beings) to collect Magecite (either that or can only "heal" by consuming the essence of magical beings). Considering it's magic resistance and the hint that it might have just recently killed Bahamut, that's what I'd like to consider.

i just love to see the world of ruin. its so nostalgic for me. we are getting closer and closer to the end of this series ! the finale will be amazing !

In Hinduism, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, power, beauty and illusion. When she emerges for the first time she is given a choice to join the gods (devas) or demons (asuras). So I think FF6 is referencing that.

i don't know if i would have call Jake being possessed, but the woman was giving him inspiration, as she feed off his life force, and you know i don't ever remember meeting Bahumit in FF, tbh i didn't read anything that happened in the game, know i kill Vampire and then became the upgraded classes. that the Painting looks more like that "Naked Lady" in the arms of that demon behind her wrapping her in a cloth or something like that.
