Carole King was the one to present Taylor with Artist of the Decade at the 2019 American Music Awards so it was nice to see Taylor present and perform for Carole.
Pretty sure that Taylor's roots are in Country music and she did a really great job covering this song. As for Carole King, she started writing music with her ex-husband Gerry Goffin for other artists in the Brill Building. In 1971, she released her first album (Tapestry) as an artist. It was #1 on the Billboard Charts for easy listening for 5 weeks and of course, other awards. Tapestry wa very successful and she was quite popular in the 70's and beyond. One of my favorites at that time.
“Taylor should cover lesser known artists”. Hahaha Carole King is one of the top female songwriters of all time. She’s been writing and recording since the late 1950’s and is on of the women who paved the way for Taylor.
After watching this it makes me so thankful that my parents always introduced us to all genres of music, we loved Carol King growing up. Still do, she is a true artist. It is weird to me hearing that some people dont know who she is 😮😢
You need to listen to what Carole King said about Taylor Swift when she presented her with the artist of the decade award. She's important you need to listen to her! Taylor does not need to cover songs. Her own songs are too important. Plus, she's re-recording her own albums
Please tell me you’re as serious about not knowing Carole King, as you are about your well deserved status as Taylor’s favorite reaction channel? If not, then a reaction to Tapestry should happen, stat.
This may be the first performance of Taylor’s I didn’t absolutely love. Taylor could have KILLED this song if they’d let her go out there with her piano and gotten out of the way. This production is sped up too fast and grossly over produced. I’ll bet Carole King hated it. Oh well. And SHAME ON YOU. Of course you know Carole King.
That is the most boring cover of this song, originally sung by The Shirrell's 1960 with so much passion and covered by Melanie in 1973, many more covers after that
That was far from boring and i was brought up on the Shirrells. And lovedit then. The purpose of any cover is to make it your own. not to repeat the same song the same way. Grow up

She made a Cover of an Phil Collins Song named " Can't stop loving you" in the BBC Live Lounge. It is so good, so you have to hear it.

Carole King was the one who presented Taylor Artist of the Decade( I think) a few years ago and admired her for her songwriting. Mutual respect!

Carol King wrote many songs from the 1960s forward
Taylor received some criticism for putting a “pop” twist it, but she ate
The best thing when doing a cover is to make it your own and Taylor always does it.
@@EricAriel5 yea and it's just Twitter criticism so you know it's just dumb stan Twitter
@@michelle-fe7id Twitter is shit. Don't take them seriously. People only vent out their anger on that platform.

Who ?
Im sorry how do you not know carole king and be a mhsic reaction channel
Do You know how reaction channels work ? They exist because people don’t know certain artists.
They explore music. Seriously. Do you know of every artist in every genre?
