It works as expected over a USB cable. But it does not work when the iPhone and Mac are on the same network(wi-fi), without a cable. I can build apps on my phone using Xcode without a cable. I got this Unknown Device or Simulator UDID. Is it possible to run Appium wirelessly on a real device?
Enabling this seems to help me (Connect via USB, Open Finder, select your device in the sidebar, and ensure "Show this iPhone when on Wi-Fi" is checked). Now I can run tests wirelessly. Despite this, all the libimobiledevice stuff has been reinstalled. I don't have time to find out the exact reason. Hope this will help someone. idevice_id -l is still returns no output.
hey @Jahmal Richard, is there a way to "bypass" the Xcode configuration? Like I only want to use the appium inspector to locate elements on an app that I already have installed, is it possible?
Hi Jahmal, I saw your video but still cannot set up the sessions with appium on my mac mini. Can you please help me? I am also willing to pay for it if you would like to help me fix this issue. I will also pay 50% advanced and 50% on completion. Looking forward to your response.
Hee there, You can also find your team ID listed under the "Organizational Unit" field in your iPhone Developer certificate in your keychain. You can also find your Team ID using your developer account. Sign in to developer.apple.com/account, and click "Membership" in the sidebar. Your Team ID appears in the Membership Information section under the team name.
@@jrichard thank you jamal i found it. But i got the error 65 xcodebuild. I watch you video on error 65. My build is failed because i have no real device connect only simulator and device section shows on device connected. No device connected to create provision profile. How can i connect device in xcodebuild.
Hi Jahmal . It was a awesome learning. I have a small request . I have to do a POC using appium to test AppleNews app (application from apple inc) on Real IOS Devices, where my org contents are displayed. Before i start , i require info whether xcodeOrgId is required?! Note : AppleNews app is preinstalled on these devices Your response will be helpful :)

The most likely problem is that "idevice_id -l" returns no output. I will write if I get any news.

Yes it’s possible to use inspector with launching Xcode, do you have your desired capabilities setup already in inspector?
how about using .app or .ipa?
Great video, keep up.
Can you create a complete series on this? On how to automate 3rd party apps
Hi Rajan! Sure! I will work on a series about 3rd party apps with appium, great suggestion by the way! Thanks for watching and supporting!!
