I loved Curacao! I was on this trip as well. We did a dolphin encounter and also a sunset sailboat cruise! This was my favorite port of all 3 that we visited on this trip!!
There is good snorkeling on the right (North side) of Playa Piskado(Grande). Then at Grote Knipp beach there is good snorkeling also on the left side of the beach. I’d definitely still snorkel in the rain…water is crystal clear. Never came across sand fleas. This is my favorite excursion in Curaçao. I don’t stay with the main group of turtles at Playa Piskado…I head north on the beach a few hundred feet and still plenty of turtles to snorkel with in a serene environment without people swarming them
Yuca! 😄 My family is from Cuba and that's a staple for us, especially during the holidays. I love it! And it's easy to make. Just boil it till it's tender and then drain and saute some garlic in olive oil and pour over the drained yuca and sprinkle some salt over it. 👌 If it's fresh you'll have to peel before boiling but they have frozen ones that are already peeled (atleast in the markets here in S Florida) and it's just as good. Thanks for the video!
Just back back from a 5 dayer on the grandeur. Had a good time, staff were friendly and smiling, food was ok, nothing spectacular. Signed up on board for the Adventure 8 days in Nov 23
@@AllThingsWagner yes, walking issues at time, need to know how far we will need to walk to get to tranportation. Example, dock at St Maarten is long, St Thomas not too bad .
Yes! It's several minutes of walking from the ship to the gates! I don't remember seeing a cart like at some ports, either, but maybe I missed it. I would recommend messaging Royal Special Needs before you sail about assistance at that port.
We had to be honest. 🤷♀️ That’s what we do. We missed 2 nights in the MDR, to be fair, but since the restart we’ve found Royal food to have slipped a bit…with Wonder of the Seas being the strong exception. MDR is still better than what we eat at home! 😉
We do yuca fries here. And boiled and served with garlic, oil and onions. Delicious.
Loved it so much!!!!
You two are the cutest couple!
Thanks so much!! 👍🏼

It's a gem, for sure!!
We run for cover also!! Lol. Thank you for sharing! Our cruise to the ABC’s will be this May! Can’t wait I’m picking this excursion for sure!! ❤
Love Curacao and want to go back! Sherri, please tell me where you got your paperclip necklace. It's gorgeous, and I love how it clasps!

What was the trip with Patrick called? Was this booked through royal Caribbean or a private tour?
It was Viator. The tour title was Swimming with Sea Turtles and Grote Knip Beach. It was $84 pp.
Awesome video! What song was used during the swimming with the turtles?
Thanks! “Pool Party” by Sensho.

Great to know! We loved it.
Boil the cassava after removing skin until tender and toss with butter and garlic while still hot .
We like walking the waterfront into town.

We enjoyed the Adventure! Grandeur is kinda small for our liking, but our view is it’s still a cruise, so it can’t be bad! Get your countdown goin!!
@@AllThingsWagner yes we felt the same. Not much going on the GOS but it is a cruise!
Very nice video my friends
Thanks so much!
what was the name of the tour you went with to Playa Grandi?
It was a Viator (Trip Advisor) tour. The vendor was Curacao Dreams.
Your necklace is beautiful 😍😍
Do you use sunscreen to keep from getting burned
Absolutely!! We use a 50 SPF reef-safe sunscreen by ThinkSport. That Caribbean sun can be brutal.
Just shows you how made royals food was. That port food looked like a chilis.
Lol. It sure didn’t taste like Chili’s!! 👍🏼
How long is the dock? Didn't look like much in port?
Sorry, do you mean the actual dock the ship was "parked" at?

This root is sever in every Caribbean’s Island. It’s good in soups.
Loved it!!!
Icecream is delicious and tasty and sweetly
Ya this is best Port. what is Port name 💕
You said your lunch was better than anything you ate on the ship. That really doesn’t speak well of Royal 😮

You look of mature age but you are still cute.
LOL. I am definitely of mature age, and I'll take "cute"!!
