hello Really need help with this fire wall I have a PA-3260 and trying for 2 wekks to config it I have set 1 interface and 1 zone with a virtual router and enable ping profile on it i can't ping it from the lan, firewall rules are set etc .. please help :/
Question: I was given an older 3050 that is running PanOS 5.0.7, followed the video thru login to the web interface, and it hangs at the dashboard load following cred entry. How can I force thru the hanging, if at all?
Is it possible to set up a palo alto firewall without licensing in a lab environment for fun? I saw they had a "lab license" but can you get away without that?
Question about the dynamic updates, why do you have to manually download and install applications and threats to get anti-virus? I’m coming from the Fortinet world and if the firewall is licensed and has a connection to the internet, you don’t have to do these manual steps. What happens when a new update is needed for the Palo? Do you have to keep manually updating the dynamic updates?
Thank you for the question Sabotocki. After initial setup, you can also set the schedule for how often to check or the updates, and then whether or not to automatically have them downloaded, installed, or both.
