My grandfather’s grandfather owned this hotel. Very cool to see some of the history behind it.
That is awesome. Troutdale in the Pines is definitely a very neat part of Evergreen's history.
my bride and I stayed at Troutdale in the Pines on Labor Day weekend in 1953. It was a beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. A wonderful memory.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful memories. I am sure it was an amazing time. Come visit again sometime when you get a chance :)
in the late 80's we'd sneak into the carcass and let ourselves be terrified by ghosts long past. Thanks for posting this!
What a fun memory. I'm sure those were some amazing times. Thanks for sharing.
We were doing the same thing in the 70’s. We were in high school
I remember driving by many times before they knocked it down, I wish i could have seen it in its heyday
Love this! Where exactly was Troutdale in the Pines, was it, where Keys on the Green is now?
It is on Upper Bear Creek where the current Troutdale neighborhood is.
