If you ever ran a crash box back in the day, you just can't get enough of this racing. Looking forward to Wagler event again this year.
We are looking forward to wangler also, the fans come out and pack the place there for our show. You remember the old crash boxes you must be about my age, cut ever other tooth off the slider.

@@rustyschultz1118 We ran the T 10 crash box (we called it slick shifted) back in the 70's but when the tires and tracks got better they wouldn't hold up at all. We then went to the Doug Nash trans.
@@SoutheastGassersAssociation i wondered what your guys (and gals!) were using for a trans. A few years back, here in so cal, we had a racer with a big tire 56 fourspeed gasser, would not give up on the four speed but he broke everything he tried in that car, muncie rock crushers, top loaders, chryslers, everything. Finally went to a Jerico. Problem solved.

My brother used a super T-10 "crash box", back in 70's, and you could make the 1-2 shift without the clutch. The Hemi trans could be modified to shift without the clutch, to some extent.

Pro shift syncro rings. Kinda notchy feeling when you just "normal " shift it. They live "longer" when you speed shift or shift without the clutch.

OK, so shifting without using the clutch (it's been going on for years and years now), and people using a 2 step to protect their high dollar investment, isn't being a sissy, it's being smart!!
They are allowed a high side chip for the drivers that never learned to drive a real race car.

the last V8-4 speed car I owned was in 1981. 1969 GTO. broke 2 rear ends and one 4 speed trans in the 3 years I had it. loved that speed shifting... did it in my Datsun pickup too but it was not the same.

You cannot run a Jericho and especially not a verti-gate in SEGA. Rules don't allow them.

Your not racing if you have a rev limiter to do your job of keeping the engine from over revving, that's part of the quarter mile race, don't break out and don't blow your engine.
