@@BabeiIlieinteresting, I suppose it’s technically possible…I think whoever you saw actually soldered the usb C onto the 12 charging port. Another possibility would be, different countries than America iPhones are made differently.
I would try a different connector, Perhaps the usb you’re using is either bad or your computer needs a usb driver update(device manager). Worst case scenario, you may need to replace the charging port once more.

when i connect it to itunes i got A request for the USB device descriptor failed. whats the issue? i replaced the charging port
