Right now, here in the southern Adirondacks, we use a generator to power our whole house, with 10 gallons of gas on standby. In this last storm, we were out for about 12 hours, so we were good. With our wood stove and generator, it went well. However, when I'm gone, I know my wife wouldn't be able to handle maintaining a generator, starting it, even though it has electric start, putting fuel in it, etc. All this is good only while I'm alive. The Anker system may be the solution I'm looking for, with the solar panels. Thanks for reviewing this.
It’s definitely something to think about. We had a few elderly women in our area who needed help starting their generators. The automatic backup generators are nice too, but I think this can be easier and more economical overall, especially with solar panels to charge it up
Being completely off-grid, we didn't realize that all of our neighbors were without power here in Upstate NY during that storm. The most recent storm also brought down a lot of power lines locally and we could hear the generators running all around us. While we're on our own solar power, we also have a portable unit that can power our home for a day or two just in case. They're amazing little things (although "little" isn't the exact word I'd use when you're talking 80 to 100 lbs for one.)
We thought of you during this latest outage due to the heavy wet snow. We were also out up here, but only for a few hours. We're using a gas-powered 8600W portable generator, so I have to get out to the garage, hook it up and start it, but it runs the whole house, including the well pump. I always have two 5-gallon cans of gas ready. This Anker unit would make a very nice backup/extender for the generator. Nice piece of gear for the price!
We thought of you both as well! We were good but we’ve had a tough and busy winter. Domes great though so that’s good . Hope alls well with you and that’s the perfect size geny you have for backup 👍
Every woman wants a super simple, dual prupose husband/power station with no smell, equipped with a retractable handle (honey, i need a glass of wine) to engage Husband Caddy Mode @120/240v. Noice 😂
@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid A video of your panel array specs being ran through your charge controller would be most helpful. No one has a video on that exact subject with the Anker Solix F3800. Everyone wants to know how to get around this pesky solar input problem when it comes to Voltage and Amps. Did you ever achieve the 2400w solar input max or close did you get to it? Thanks!
Yes, that’s exactly what he’s doing. He did have to make a few mods as shown for it to work. And we’ll have to do an update because if I’m not mistaken, he’s added to the system since this video was made.

Chainsaws get us through roadblocks. Siphon hoses and pumps get us through fuel droughts. ;-)
Truth for many
The XT-60 adapter fits tighter than the P-38 space modulator in an unconventional way...

Yes, having backup in and off grid is important! And you’re right, this one weighed 132 lbs!
We have one and works great.... with expansion battery running a heater goes for 8.2 hrs.
Nice!
Bruh, Pro Tip if you wnt more solar power... take off your ball cap and utilize the albedo rate @ 0.32. Reflection from the Chromius Domius. ;-)
😁
Wow, that’s a really nice unit 👍
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice 👍

How much would an electrician charge me, to install box.???
Honestly depends where you live and what needs to be done

That's all fine and good. Just be sure to change his oil, as needed. Lol
Can you elaborate how you plugged your existing rooftop solar to the Anker system? Is it able to charge the battery with solar while the grid is down?
This particular system is completely off grid so it only charges the battery with solar.

@@nateturesdomain2599 We will talk to our friend!
That was an admirable gesture to help! That and it was a perfect fit for his needs too.
He’s a great young man trying to do the same thing we are👍😊
Wow, great piece of gear.
Thanks. It’s actually very worthwhile!
Just came across your wonderful video, can you use this for a complete 💯 with no electricity?

That’s a great unit ! 😎💚
We were happy to see it work so well!
Nice what's the asking price
Several thousand but always discounts. There’s a link in the description below the video 👍
