The book explains that this oracle deck is a positive affirmation deck, meant to be used for one card readings. You can pull a second card for clarification and a third card to rephrase if necessary. The affirmations are positive, thought provoking and beautifully written. I love it and believe it is a great deck for beginners and experienced readers alike if used in this way. (c.w.)
Found it more oracle than tarot and given that I'm still learning tarot, I quickly realized as gorgeous as the artwork is - it's not for me. I'm trading it in soon I hope at my local new age shop.
These are great , to read for people who are nervous about the scarier images in the traditional tarot. They're good for a 'hug ' deck , too. She does make good decks.
Absolutely gorgeous cards. I love the Majors but I would get so lost in minors. Two years into my tarot journey and I still like to use the deck's book and my notebook. Thanks for the review ❤
I really like this deck but was so disappointed in the hermit card. It is such a beautiful and powerful image. Then they had to put the number right in the center of the card.
My first deck was Deviant moon, my 2nd deck was this lol. Those cards need dressing with fanning powder- same as mass market bonefire. The art is really pretty though. 10 of cups is maybe my least liked card - but as time goes on, I can see the happy fulfilling life
Although I already own this deck I did enjoy your review and thoughts on the deck. I feel it more as an oracle deck, the images just don't bring out the tarot feel for me. I don't like it when I have to struggle to figure out what the card is. Not much in the book either. Thanks for the video.
I have 5 of Colette's decks but this is one I don't think I will buy, love the major arcana but she lost me with the minor arcana, it is beautiful though !
❤🌹❤ i agree, Colette Baron Reed always make a beautiful deck of cards ! i love the artists she works with too ! i have several of her decks, love the goddess power oracles. thanks for sharing 🃏
it might be harder for you as it seems your foundation or comparing the cards to a rider waite system.... PS keep christina around she offers many good gifts
Thank you for helping me make the decision not to purchase the deck . It is pretty but the deviation from traditional decks is too much for my taste . I don’t mind variation but these cards seem like they’d be hard to interpret without the guidebook.
I know what you mean lol. I got this deck. The images are creative but I feel that all the cards deliver the positive messages. Personally, it’s not suitable to do divination. Whenever I use this deck, I always look at the words in the cards and have Waite’s tarot images in my head to interpret. Lol
Colette Baron-Reid is great for Oracle decks and her artwork is amazing but...like with Catrin Welz-Stein's work, it has a lot of "identity politics" that are subtly put into it. Which I find disturbing. This deck doesn't have that but her other decks do. Also, Oracle card creators I do NOT create Tarot decks very well. They are a bit clueless about Tarot and you can tell they have never used a Tarot deck to read with. The artwork is pretty but I couldn't read with this deck AT ALL!
your energy was exactly like mine flipping through. i started being hopeful and intrigued and progressively disappointed at the uselessness. pretty, but more of a collection deck.

Thanks for your insights on this deck. Always liked the Art of it. But not for regular use.
It's more like an oracle, could be used as one in a tarot reading.

I bought it for my first tarot deck because of the positive vibe to start out my journey with. The art is amazing!
same LOL
i'd never have any of her decks
I love Colette baron reid decks, but these cards are too glossy for me. But they are very accurate, just like all her decks.

i have had this deck for quite a while now and I really don't like it. It's more of an affirmation deck than tarot. Not for me
.....you’ll never use it, I can feel it. Me neither, her Oracle decks are WAY better.
I'm always surprised people actually like this deck, it makes me irrationally angry 😂

Hierophant is like High Priestess and Emperor is like Strength card lol 😂 overall good cards

I'd love to hear more on the identity politics issues
They look dull no vibrant colors
