My grandmother has so much milk glass and now that she’s gone there isn’t anyone in the family who really likes or wants it 😢 I live in a tiny apartment with no room and I bought my mom Avon cape cod glass for every holiday and carnival glass as well when she passed I got it all back and every bit of it was stolen from my storage it makes me so sad not just because of it’s worth but because of the sentimental value… my mother wanted me to have it and a family member has stolen it all. During my life I’ve had so much stuff that is all gone now except the memories of collecting it. I enjoy your channel and the excitement you get from finding such amazing items at crazy good prices. I don’t collect anything anymore and I’m okay with that now.
What Goodwil are you shopping at? YOU sure finding score. Here in Indianapolis, the Goodwill sells junk for SAX prices

The orange Murano bowl is very special.
When I go to the thrift stores I only find junk or chipped stuff.
That's no fun. Damaged items should be thrown away .

There is so much beautiful glass that was made back then.
I know!!! And even "average" items were made well. Now, they are gaining value, yet still affordable!

I have a smaller version of the “Antique Swung Vase” 0:45 which I came across at a Contents-of-House sale. It mesmerizes me.
“The Anchor Hocking Moonstone Sherbert Cups 2:07 are adorable.
My favorite is the amber-colored Murano bowl 6:26
I used to have two of the Hazel Atlas colored dishes but in amethyst which were otherwise identical to the green one you found. 9:17 but I somehow managed to break both of them.
I have pieces of the Open Lace pattern 12:56 but in clear glass. Another fascinating pattern.
I kept one of those Cherry Blossom trays with handles 15:07 on my vanity for years.
My mother was keen on milk glass; I can take it or leave it. But there are some lovely milk glass pieces out there.
When I was very little my mother would take me with her to what she affectionately called “junk stores”. (she used to say that the difference between a “junk store” and an “antique shop” was dust … and, of course, the prices.) I rarely understood why she got excited about some dusty old piece; but then we would bring it home and she would wash and dry it (humming all the time) and set it in a sunny window. I began to appreciate her eye for beauty as I sat and marveled at the shiny gems.
My jam is Depression Glass. I came across some Gene Florence books and was pleasantly surprised at how many pieces I had that I didn’t even know were Depression Glass! My favorite pattern is Manhattan.
I feel fairly sure there is a glassware gene out there because for a high school graduation gift my daughter asked for a set of goblets she found at a local antique store.

Too many good finds to pick, in general I like Indiana glass and the Fenton finds, I would fall over in a dead faint if I found just half of these...you are lucky and have a good eye to go along with it.

So many thrift store owners don't know the value of collectible glassware. I have a four piece set of vintage Anchor Hocking Archaroc sunburst bowls that someone gave me in a box of glassware. I researched them and, even though they are only a small part of a set of dinnerware, they can go for about $30 for just the four bowls. A full set of dinnerware can go for around $400. I love Anchor Hocking ware. I also have four large "thumbprint" goblets. They're clear with blue, stenciled flames. They're worth about $20-$30 per set. My late husband paid $4 for them.

When you are looking at handblown Murano and Murano style glass check if the glass feels oily. If it does it's not murano but Chinese blown glass. Yes it is pretty but not the same quality.

How in the world do you decide what you actually purchase? I'd want it all, or most of it. I am not much on green, My mom had green everything growing up and I just got sick of it. I can handle a little but too much, Nope, no way. I love the depression pink and the clear crystal is my all time favorite. I love your content. You made me want to go to Goodwill and I did. I bought things too!
