how long was the induction day in total? I got mines this Friday but i got a lesson on the same day aswell so im not sure whether to ask them to change my day and if theyll allow that
Induction day was around 1 hour maybe a bit more. They show you around and ask for documents to be signed.I think if you work on the till it may be longer because they have to till train you. But yeah you might be able to reschedule the induction day it's worth asking. 👍
@@ibbyk18 @I khan Yeah it was going quite well but the job was for a Christmas temp position so unfortunately my contract ended -_- I was working in Grocery's as a Days Sales assistant but good experience overall definitely better than my time at Sainsburys.
hi,can you tell me about the application process I've applied to a local asda multiple times, and they tend to close their application thing really quick like in two hours,is the role base on a first come first served bases(applying for a store assistant) do you reckon I should call up the store and ask them about my application?
I would say for future reference tick a box that says notify me about any jobs that way when you refresh your email you will get access to a job post instantly. For me I remember I did this and quickly applied filled in details and there was an assessment that asked SJQ and best case scenario questions. For this I would recommend put the customer first in every situation and just use that as a rule of thumb. Afterwards I remember getting a call and the person said are you still interested come down for an interview and right to work check. I don't think its first come first serve like if I were a manger and I posted a job and closed it 2 hours later I would have a look at experiences and than if there answers were close to like a criteria. But tbh most managers are sound and not even like that they just see if u have experience and let you in. You could call them and just try say I worked at xyz can I come in show you my cv and right to work and we work from there on. I say that because sometimes these assessment are not really fair as a whole judgement. There kind of just long.
@@9ine-o-5ive Thank you so much for the reply really helped! What do you mean by SJQ ? I had two assessments one about Like personality i guess like most to least type thing And then the customer questions Also I don’t have any experience (I’m 17 btw) Also how long did it take for them to call you When I call them should I ask to speak to the manager? I also live really close to the store like 3 minute walk, would this be an advantage for me So sorry for the many questions!!
@@aminaho388 sjq would be situation judgement questions but I was referring to them as the ones you just mentioned like the most and least etc. but yeah with them try just focus on the customer. customer questions just keep thinking whats best for the customer all the time. I think around 3-4 Days they gave me call but yeah call customer service say can I speak with the manager and then enquire about your application. definitely mention its a three minute walk shows attendance wont be that much of an issue. but yeah no worries all the best 👍
I reckon find customer service let them know its your first day and they will call up your manager. Then the manager will likely show you clock in and out machines probably get you a uniform sorted and then if your working on groceries. They will tell you to take a trolley fill it with items needed on a specific aisle and then they'll show you how to place items and dress items etc. Hope that helps 💯
But yeah its back and forth of filling a trolley placing stock than all plastics and cardboard go back in the trolley and then back into the warehouse. If you have a 8 hr shift i recommend a break during 4 hr period. It's probably most comfortable time.
How long did you have to wait after your induction for your phone call to say when your first day was?
Bro how do you clock in? It’s my first day today and I haven’t been shown how to clock in
I have mine at 10 tonight. How long did it last roughly ?
did you get a call before the introduction day talking about agreeing a contract that's being sent in an email.
What type of clothing for induction
Smart casual usually black trousers and black shoes
What happens if you are sent by the job center
For the life assessment day, Did you have an interview?
Not that I can recall, No
