Agreed, but probably at some point in the future, it'll get updated with a custom voice line. Hopefully unique ones for each rival, but that's unlikely.

Yes, because the court case is discussing the disappearance of Sumire Saitozaki, who is the girl you can't avoid killing at the start of the game. It'll be most likely that you'll just have a very good record and defense if you don't kill any of the 10 rivals

I tried this. The same ending as the court trial, only the dialogue about ‘connections to at least two murders’ gets cut.
