Ledge strategy worked a treat, thank you sir. No orb or worm attacks, just the occasional zombie. WSP swarm pap3 with epic and launcher pap1 with epic. Spammed the beach with the launcher every time the worm went under. 5 ammo runs as the swarm isn’t too powerful but got the job done in about 15 mins
Thanks so much for this! I just beat it on my 3rd try: Purple PAP3 FJX Horus, Green PAP2 RGL, 3 sentries, used 1 self-revive (had 2 more). First time, I hung out by the bathroom and wasted too much time surviving the orbs + very few armor drops, ran out of time and the worm was only 2/3 damaged. Second time, I watched your vid so I knew about the ledge, but I went in under-supplied and again ran out of time, I died dramatically on the beach from poison gas at the base of the worm when he was just a sliver from dying, reminded me of the scene from Platoon lolol. This time I finished with 5:00 still on the clock. For me and this loadout, my tactic was to spam the beach with the RGL the moment the worm disappears, which will cause him to surface quickly (no visible health regen for him), and I left the ledge 3 times to get some closer range hits in from the bathroom before heading back to the ledge...this seemed to resolve the issue I was having before where the worm's health just didn't degrade quickly enough---the closer range shots broke through his armor faster, and then I was able to do more damage from the ledge. I had enough zombies hit the ledge so that ammo and plates weren't an issue, so I technically never needed to leave it. The RGL is also great for crowd control during the seals portion, gave me a moment to reload my primary a few times when it got too crowded, and also clears a path when you're running to the next location. Worked on my first try. Legendary LMG, PaP3, 3 sentry guns, 4 selfies (none were used). The worm attacked me on the ledge a couple of times but didn't cause much damage. It would probably help a lot to have 1-2 deadbolt gun turret cards - the turret is located underneath the ledge, on the street. Thank you for the sound advice!
I remember doing the last act 3 mission with half my pack full of self revs after dying the first time. Watched his video and never had to use a single 1
This still works, six months later. One important thing I leaned -- I am almost certain that shooting the purple balls actually seems to damage the worm. I turned to shoot some of them then heard a lourd roar, looked back and worm was dying. I thought I was running out of time too and suddenly the thing died. Not 100% sure but it seemed that way.
i really wanted to finish all the missions but after seeing that im gonna have to fight a worm again i think uinstalling will be a lot easier :) what is this game at this point? i just wanned to play zombies :)
Try thermite grenades on the weak spots they do more damage over time, bring a dog, and decoy grenades in your stash for when you run out of monkeys or the vortex grenades.
Great video and explanation got it done first try solo, take his advice on the sentry guns it helps a ton when ur busy fighting off the orbs it’s critical to get shots off at the worm almost ran out of time
@yakcitytony4466 did you complete all prior missions? Acts 1, 2 and 3 are basically one big tutorial. I highly recommend doing those prior to diving into act 4

And yeah, a lot of the time, playing the game does help a lot. In particular, missions in acts 1 through 3 walk you through the mechanics and things in the game. And I have a video guide for each of those missions to help make them less tedious. But I can't really read your mind, so it would help if you tell exactly what you're struggling with ;)

@@ViralTrendingToday it happened to me too mid run but i was able to find a thermite (and a few Semtex's) and keep throwing them on the beach when he was travelling around it and he would pop back up, but you have to keep refilling ammo at the beach and run back up to the street/gas station
Yes, you can collect the items any number of times until you complete the unlock. Once you unlock dark aether, you can't get the items anymore (and you don't need to)
@@Quadro40k I've done all that now just struggled with the laptop getting it gold do I have to re do the mission every time to get it or just the kill the Sargent with dog

This did not work for me as a solo player. I took 2 level 3 pack a punch weapons (pulemyot 763 and wsp swarm with recommend zombie builds), golden armor, 3 self revives, 3 sentry guns, placed the sentry on the road by the bathrooms, sat on top of the ledge near the rope and the worm kept swimming around and rejuvenating health after constantly shooting the purple weak points for more than 15 minutes. Towards the last 5 minutes, the worm kept swimming, not attacking, and the gas eventually took me.
This is a glitch that keeps happening from time to time since the mission release. A lot of people believe it happens because you're far away but that's not true. First time it happened to me I was fighting in the beach. Annoying every time though, since there's nothing you can do really against it
@EuNaPiuS. ok, that's indeed the problem. Once you interact with the portal, open the map. In the upper right corner you'll see the prompt to vote yes or no with the button, depending on which platform you are

Damn I tried it and the game glitches out and he never resurfaced he just kept crawling around under the map I tried everything I threw grenades at him shot at the trail and even threw decoy grenades for like 20 minutes while I was in aether realm I ran around the map then I found monkey bomb at the last 2 minutes so I ran back too the worm and threw it at him and he resurfaced but my luck i only at 1 minute left until gassed fully closed I got him too half health and died too gas so make sure guys if you do the balcony strat bring monkey bombs hust incase the game glitches
You won't finish the mission. Also, one of the items you need to unlock the Dark Aether drops from the boss and there's no reason to not exfil really if you killed it
7:05 omg I'm F'in dumb. I totally forgot you could open doors an went all the way around.. you should try 3rd person. I see it would help you alot when getting mobbed up.
I tried the ledge strategy solo with the mcw pap 3 legendary and the problem I kept having was running out of ammo. Zombies rarely came up and when they did a lot of them didn’t drop ammo. I lost not because of dying but running out of time and then it wasn’t even possible to keep going to refill gas mask constantly after time ran out
@@smithy-92-80 yep but the 2nd time I fought from the bathroom building because I knew more zombies would come and I could get the ammo they dropped. Definitely a couple close calls tho, one time the worm came up thru the ground and thru part of the building 😂. Then one time I was getting swarmed by the purple orbs so I went inside the bathroom building and one of the orbs actually got inside with me lol. Ended up using my self-revive there.
It should check off as soon as you go through the portal. But sometimes it doesn't - been a glitch from the very start. You can ignore this, since once you complete the mission, you still get the rewards and can continue progression. But if having this showing incomplete irritates you, you can try running the mission again and it should get marked as complete.
You should have thrown a decoy on the seal and activated it first, before killing all the zombies. Also, you can control where the worm pops up at. Use a GL to plop a grenade on the beach when he disappears or a thermite or moltave. I circle around the toilet with a sentry protecting me. Totally easy doing this solo. I was never eaten or lazered by the worm. Just annoyed by the whisps and zombies.

It's a glitch, yeah. Not specifically related to the ledge, happened to me by the toilet too. You're even more lucky that it came out at all. I had one that it just kept moving underground never to come back and once when it completely despawned together with all the zombies on the island.
its not a glitch he can go down in the ground and is supposed to come up to attack but sometimes it wont thats probably because your not close enough to the worm it can do some strange stuff if your not close to it

It seems hard at first but after a bit is quite trivial. When things are too easy, they get boring really fast

What gun are you using ? Seems strong
It's an MCW I bought from the Wall Buy in the red zone. It's a good gun, but any legendary punch 3 AR would be great here, except maybe FR 5.56
Orcus will stay underground and heal every time now unless you actually run across the beach now. Im sure it was one of their patches

I usually play solo. Tried to do this mossion repeatedly and vote never passes. Sure id die but i cant even get that chance
