I tried to post this comment yesterday when this was first uploaded. The third tune identified just as "Blues," is actually "219 Blues," also known as "Mamie's Blues" by Mamie Desdoumes, a New Orleans singer and pianist. It was transcribed by Jelly Roll Morton who said it was the first blues he ever heard in his life.
Do you have the full tape of the concert from first artist to last artist? The year before Teddy Wilson and Dick Hyman both played, Michael Seaman posted that part of the tape.
That first tune is “Ruby Lorraine”, an original composition of his. I’ve heard Jack Bradshaw play it many time! Great piece.
Fixed! Thank you!
❤
First time I’ve heard this guy. Love him.
Fabulous interpretations by the great Terry Waldo! WOW!
